Paper House Productions began releasing the ColorWays Collections in 2015 and has now created eight different collections! Our design team will be highlighting these over the next two weeks. Each collection comes with a wide variety of scrapbook papers and varying embellishments.
Today we’re going to highlight the Sapphire Collection which we released in the winter of 2015. Here’s several inspiring projects using Sapphire.
To make this page, I cut up the paper, arranged the pieces, and put the photo on top. I used a pencil to mark where my design would be, and took the arrangement off so I could add some mixed media.
I stenciled some texture paste on at the upper left, and sponged gesso around the marked areas with a cosmetic sponge. Gesso gives the paint and other materials a “grip”, and protects the paper.
To give the project some dimension, I glued the paper on with pieces of foam core board underneath. Then I painted over the gesso with watercolors and water soluble oil pastels. To give the page more texture I used a number of different things: glass glitter, dry embossing powder, tulle, micro beads, seed beads, lace, moss, rock candy crackle paint, and ribbon.
Then to blend the colors together, I brushed on a lot of turquoise mica powder. To give the page even more definition, I scribbled on a wide, dark outline around the arrangement with a watercolor pencil, and softened the lines with water. Over that, I painted on a mix of green and brown water soluble oil pastels.
My last step was to make a crown\bird’s nest out of crystals, dried moss, silver chain, pearls, embroidery floss, tiny flowers, and feathers.
Thanks for looking, and I hope you liked my page!

Hello there scrappy friends! How often do you scrap a layout about yourself? Years ago, I didn’t scrap any photos of me, but that has been one of my resolutions for the last few years. Besides, selfies are popular now, so snap away 🙂 Today I am sharing a layout I created using the gorgeous Flamingo ColorWays collection and yes, a selfie of me!
I used my Cameo to cut the cut file and then backed the squares with different Flamingo ColorWays patterned papers. I love the outcome!
Hello friends! It’s Lee-Anne here today sharing a 3D Wall Art project that I created with the new gorgeous Colorways Atlantis Collection. I love this collection and the beautiful colors. I thought it would be perfect for my bedroom wall over my bed.
Cut several pieces of patterned paper to 6X12 inches and then cut that into 6X6 squares. Then using a bone folder, fold each 6X6 paper diagonally
I used a white foam board for my base. Starting at the top left corner of the white foam board begin adhering the 6X6 paper squares as shown leaving one diagonal piece up to create a diamond design as shown below placing four squares together until the board is completely covered with paper.
I hope you are inspired to try some 3 dimensional design with these beautiful Atlantis papers. Have a wonderful day!

On Monday we featured a layout using Atlantis ColorWays about Sisters. Today Christine is sharing one about brothers. How’s that for versatility!?! You can check out our entire ColorWays line-up at the bottom of this post!
I wanted to use a variety of patterns behind my pictures but I knew that I needed them to have a smaller scale so they wouldn’t overpower the pictures. I opted for the trim cards patterned paper because it has some smaller options but I didn’t have to cut into 10 different papers.
One of the new additions to this collection is a 12 X 12 sheet of cardstock stickers. They are fabulous and include things like frames, words, icons, and more! I used them for my title, subtitle, and to frame my boys!
I loved the subtle detail that the Atlantis Roman Column Patterned Paper adds to this layout. This is obviously not the Roman Column side but it is the other side of the paper an ombre grid. I debated on which side to use but went with this one so I could add some fun stitching.
