Hi everyone! Laura here with you today to share a bright and “Just Beachy” LO created with the beautiful rich colored, foil accented papers, matching stickers, and alphas, found in the Paper House Sun Drenched 12×12 Paper Pad.
These paper pads have so much in them to play with with!! The great journal type cards you can layer up (the starfish and the “splish splash”) and also the cute stickers you can use for fun accents around your pictures. The quality of the heavy cardstock stickers from Paper House is amazing!
The foiled papers are great to use as an accent….here I just cut a 2&1/2″ strip of the paper and then cut it into different widths.
They are arranged at different heights under the edge of the paper before being glued down. A little tip to make them easier to work with….once I thought the pattern of the paper strips looked good, I gently lifted the paper mat, and used a strip of double stick tape to hold all the paper strips together. Then I could move them around where needed to glue them onto the page, without having to worry about them shifting out of place. I curled them up slightly to give them a little more of a fringe effect.
Another bonus is having matching alphas right in the Sun Drenched paper pad!
Cute and colorful….I love having matching alphas to add titles to my page…..how about you? When I scrapbook, I tend to have one or two pages in a set of pictures that have journaling telling most of the story, for the other pages, I like my title to tell the story. It’s also great to have a couple of different alpha options included to make the title a little more interesting.
Hi everyone! I don’t know about you, but I am tired of cold weather! I live in Ohio and the weather here cannot seem to make up its mind. One day it’s freezing cold, one day it’s snowing and then we have those days where we get a glimmer of hope that warm weather actually exists. It’s during this roller coaster of weather changes, that I wish I was on a warm beach somewhere. Now, even though I don’t see a warm beach in my future anytime soon, I can still do my favorite beach activity which is reading!
To bring a little beachy warmth into my life and into yours, today we are making Beachy Bookmarks! These bookmarks were created using a new paper pad by Paper House which is the Sun Drenched 12’’ Paper Pad. This paper pad contains 48 colorful sheets of paper and is packed full of different ”beach themes”. Also, the nice thing about this paper pad is that it comes with a full sticker sheet which includes individual letters, phrases, and decorative stickers.
When you combine this paper pad with a lamination machine, you get the perfect ”water-proof” bookmarks which are perfect for a day at the beach!
To create your own Beachy Bookmarks featuring the Sun Drenched Paper Pad, you would do the following:
Step 1: Go through the Sun Drenched paper pad and pick out your favorite pieces of scrapbooking paper. Once you have chosen your favorite pieces, cut out rectangles which are 6 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Finally, using your hole punch, punch a hole at the top of your rectangle.
Before we move on to step 2, I do want to mention a couple of things that you might want to keep in mind while you are cutting out your bookmarks.
1. If you are someone who likes bookmarks with rounded corners, now would be time to round the corners before you laminate your bookmarks.
2. While cutting out your bookmarks, look for ways in which you can incorporate the design of the scrapbooking paper into your bookmark. For example, many of the pages in the Sun Drenched paper pad have words written on them. These pages make the best bookmarks (like my Beachy Keen or Sunkissed bookmark) because they already look like ”store-bought” bookmarks.
3. Don’t forget to use the stickers that come with the paper pad! Adding a simple sticker to a decorative piece of paper (like my Seahorse bookmark) is all you need to create a cute bookmark.
Step 2: When you are done decorating/cutting out your bookmarks, laminate each of them using your favorite type of lamination method (I used Xyron). Once your bookmarks have been lamented, trim the excess laminate and re-punch the hole at the top.
Step 3: Now grab your yarn or ribbon and feed it through the hole in your bookmark. While doing this step, you can also add extra embellishments (like a button) to your yarn or ribbon before you tie it off.
Once you are done decorating, you are now ready to use your bookmarks!
I might have made too many bookmarks, but a reader should have some options!
One thing that I didn’t show in the tutorial, that you could totally do, is scrapbook or journal a past beach adventure onto your bookmark. For example, you could cut out your paper for your bookmark and then use it as a mini scrapbooking page. Then once you are happy with how your bookmark looks, you could then continue with the rest of the steps. By doing this, you would truly have a customized bookmark which gives you all those beachy vibes!
Hello, everyone! It’s me Caitlyn and I’m here to show you my Valentine’s Day week planner spread. Even though this spread was designed with Valentine’s Day themes in mind, it can truly work for any time of the year! The blush colors and pops of colors
I can not begin to explain how excited I am that this week is over. I was not aware of how crazy it was about to get when I decorated my planner spread. My original goal was to have something really pretty and decorated, but as it turned out I needed it to be functional! Luckily with the help of some of the Life Organized stickers I was able to fit most of my plans in one spot without sacrificing space!
I am someone who adores big elements in their planner spreads. Some weeks it’s a lot more decorative than functional, but this week I needed to make sure I had the best of both worlds. I knew some days would be busier than others and I tried to keep that in mind the best that I could.
This week I decided to block out the entire middle section utilizing this flotal pattern sheet from the Be Happy Paper Pad. On the days where my schedule was less chaotic, I pulled the geometric triangle sheet from the Be Happy Paper Pad and created my own full box stickers. Even though the two patterns were very different they worked very well together. Utilizing scrapbook paper in your planner spread is truly one of my favorite things to do because it’s so versatile!
In order to keep myself more on track I took advantage of several different sticker sets. The Life Organized sticker sets are tailored perfectly to specific needs and work great when you don’t want to write as much. As I mentioned before, this spread was influenced by Valentine’s Day with its colors, but I had to include some holiday stickers! I knew I didn’t want to use a full check box sticker for Tuesday so I opted to use the Candy Hearts micro stickers to create my own check list! Not only does it look cute it also adds its own little personality to the spread. Valentine’s Day itself also deserved its own special decorations. Don’t they look cute?
Sticker layering is another great way to add personality and life to your planner spreads! This little piggy bank sticker from the Budget Functional Sticker set is too cute and he needed to be included. I thought I would give him some little money wings since Thursday was not only pay day but also bill paying day – yuck! Putting my little flying pig made the reminder that I needed to pay bills a little fun.
That’s all I have for this week. Thank you for checking out my planner spread and I’ll see you all next time!
Spring’s coming and that’s got me itching to be outdoors. But since there’s still snow on the ground, I’ll have to enjoy pictures from last year and scrapping pictures from then! Today I am going to showcase some fun fishing pictures using the Great Outdoors Collection!
The Great Outdoors Collection has three parts: Fishing, Hunting, and Camping. I incorporated all three for my patterned papers! I also incorporated a bunch of the cardstock stickers throughout the layout.
I used several of the stickers from the 3D Fishing Stickers but also added a lot of the puffy stickers from the Life Organized Collection! I love how the puffy stickers work perfectly for subtitles and embellishments. They are a definite fave in my collection! I have a process video walking you through my whole creation:
Are you ready for spring too? Pull out some of the pictures from last year (or any year!) and have some fun until it warms up!
Hi there! Laura here with you today sharing a project idea for a sweet gift for a friend, neighbor or just about anyone. Good for a grad, or someone who just needs a pick me up, or thank you. This is created with the Color Washed 12×12 Pad collection from Paper House.
This is a great journal set for someone to keep their goals, dreams or just random thoughts about what they are going through on a daily basis.
The gift box keeps the journal and any other memento the recipient would like, and is a reminder to keep a positive attitude….the Color Washed 12×12 pad is full of gorgeous papers in bright cheerful colors, along with journal boxes and border strips with positive uplifting messages!
The inside of the box is decorated too to keep those positive vibes coming…..
Next is the journal and gift card…
The sweet simple card was made using some of the scraps from creating the box, and also the stickers that are included in the Color Washed Pad….they look like gorgeous water-colored pieces of art. You can keep the project simple and still make a bold beautiful statement.
The journal is just an inexpensive dollar store type notebook. By adding the papers, stickers and a little ribbon, it turns into a pretty little journal better than most store bought journals. If you want to add a little more pizazz, you can decorate inside the front cover (a little bonus inspiration!) and even add some of the small 2×2 squares that are also in the Color Washed pad to give little positive reminders throughout the journal.
Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure you stop by the Paper House website to take a look at all the 12×12 paper pads they have available. They have a great selection, and with the stickers, journal cards, and gorgeous papers included you are ready to create multiple projects with just one paper pad!
Are you looking for some last-minute gift ideas for Valentine’s Day? Look no further. Here’s an easy and fun Valentine’s Mailbox Treat Holder idea! You can find these mailboxes at a craft store, or go to your local Target at the Dollar spot section. I have altered my mailbox, using the beautiful Color Washed 12 x 12 Paper Pad by Paper House Productions. You guys are all going to love this paper pad. The pad comes with a sticker sheet that contains alphabet stickers, and other ephemeras.
I love making 3D projects for Valentine’s Day, especially making treat holders for my family and friends. Valentine’s Day is always a special day at my house. When my kids were a lot younger, I would surprise them by decorating the table with hearts, candles, confetti, and flowers! I would also leave the little treat bags on top of their plates so that before they eat breakfast and go to school, they already have their treats with them. It made their day. It doesn’t matter how big or small the presents were but they were always happy to get a few treats to celebrate the day. We also made treats for their friends!
Here are the photos of my finished project:
I have a process video for you today to show you how I altered this inexpensive mailbox that I found from Target. It is super fast and easy, and it doesn’t require decoupaging. I hope you like it. The supplies I used are listed and linked below. Have a wonderful day!
Hello lovely friends! Heather here with a 12×12 scrapbook layout featuring the Marbleous 12×12 Paper Pad. This awesome paper pad also has a 12×12 sticker sheet in the front of it and it is amazing!
I used a piece of the marbleous paper and matted the black card stock on it to make all of the colors pop off the page! I love all of the bright colors in this layout, it makes me smile. I also love the addition of the Kawaii Flake Stickers. They are such cute little elements to make your layout or any project special! My favorite element on my layout is the Kawaii Stick On Pocket, I love how I can add extra journaling and tuck it into the pocket.
Head over to my YouTube channel to check out my whole process on how I created this fun and colorful layout! Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Hello Everyone! Daisie here with a fun layout and process video featuring the Great Outdoors Fishing kit. This kit comes with 9 double-sided 12×12 pattern papers, a 12×12 sticker sheet, and a sheet of 3D stickers. I also added in a couple of the Great Outdoors puffy stickers. More than enough to document any big fish tales you may have!
I started with a white cardstock background from my stash. I added some dark blue mist sprinkled on to set the scene. I used a stock image of a fish that I found on Google for my template. I then went to town with the papers in this kit to create my fish.
The Gone Fishin’ 12×12 paper was perfect for my fish. One side has a beautiful ombre effect that starts darker on the bottom and lighter on top. I chose to flip the paper the other way for the body of my fish, even though the anchors ended upside down. The belly of the fish is created with the opposite side. It has a gorgeous misty outdoor scene. I loved the color of the trees and thought it would make for a great fish belly. I finished him off with some woodgrain fins from the b-side of the Into The Woods paper.
I matted my photo with a thin mat cut from the Catch Of The Day paper. It has colorful fishing icons all over it. While you can’t quite make out what they are from the mat that I used, it helps tie in all of the colors. I added a lot of the 3D stickers as embellishments around my photo. My title came from the 12×12 sheet of stickers that come with the kit. I finished it off by bringing some more of the colors around my page with the Great Outdoors puffy stickers. This collection is the perfect way to highlight this great catch!
