Hello, again! It’s Caitlyn back on the blog today and I’m here to show you something a little bit different you can do with your planner.
Growing up, I was always surrounded by my mom scrapbooking. It was never something that I found interest in as a child, but I was always in awe of the scrapbooking layouts that she would create. While my mom and I were always creative together, scrapbooking was always the one thing that I avoided doing. She could ask me to do anything else, but scrapbooking? Forget about it! It’s funny how years later the tables have completely turned and I have slowly made my journey into scrapbooking, just in a different medium.
Memory keeping in my planner is one of my absolute favorite things to do. Sometimes I don’t want to actually plan and I get into a slump. In order to help combat those feelings, I memory keep! There are plenty of ways to create a hybrid layout with memory keeping and planning, but before I show you ways of doing that, I wanted to show you a memory keeping week.
With Valentine’s Day coming up so soon, I thought it would be fun to reminisce on my first Valentine’s with my fiancé. To put together this spread I utilized only five different sheets of paper in addition to the included stickers in the Be Happy Paper Pad. I used one full sheet for the main portion of this spread and then pulled select elements from the other sheets.
Using scrapbooking paper is such an easy way to decorate any of your planner spreads and makes a world of difference in memory keeping. You can use all the stickers in the world to decorate, but something as simplistic as paper can make a huge difference.
The Be Happy Paper Pad has plenty of different elements that work perfectly for journaling or even as photo backers. You’re sure to find something that will make your memory keeping spread pop and look beautiful!
Check out my video to see how I put together this layout and see the thought process from start to finish. The way I envisioned this spread is different than the eventual outcome, but it came out a lot better than I planned! Sometimes the best thing in life truly aren’t planned and this memory keeping spread is proof of that.
Thanks for stopping by and I can’t wait to see you all next time.
