Hi everyone! Laura here today! I’ve got a fun little quick scrapbook page idea to share with you today, using Paper House washi tape to make your own background paper!
The cool background on this paper was just a plain color-washed orange….one of the papers from the Paper House Sun Drenched 12×12 paper pad. Very pretty but I wanted to mimic the line of the horizon on the picture a little bit and add a little more interest to the background, so I used a roll of Paper House washi tape. So much comes on one roll, that you can use it for fun techniques like this and still have plenty for many, many projects! So using the washi, I lined the paper in different widths with like you see here:
And after I did that…..I used a good blending ink and a sponge applicator, and applied it to the surface. The washi tape, resists the ink of course…..so the result when the washi is removed is this awesome effect:
How fun is that?!! So simple, but a lot of impact! Washi tape has so many options!
