Batter Up!

Hey there Scrappy Friends!

Lisa  here today to share a sports layout I created. I take so many sports photos, have scrapped some and still have a ton left to scrap! So during baseball season this year, I had to stop myself from grabbing the camera to take to every game. Am I the only one like that? Or do you do it as well? I also decided to try and use a series of photos on my sports pages.

I used a series of 3 photos from my son batting during one game and came up with this fun page:

Batter up

Batter Up Layout Supplies:

I used white cardstock for my background and added some watercolor to it. I also added some black mist spatters.

I layered my photos side by side and added layers behind them with the fun sports themed papers. I also added some stitching. I fussy cut “Let’s Play Ball” from one of the Baseball Tags and popped it up using foam tape:

I used the “Batter Up!” sticker and popped that up with foam tape as well. The baseball under it is also from the sticker sheet as well as the baseball border:

So dig out those photos that you have a lot of and scrap a series of 3 on your page!
Thanks for sharing your day with us at Paper House!

Love this Game

Hi Paper House Fans! Sue joining you today with a baseball layout! Of the 100’s of baseball pictures I’ve taken throughout Justin’s years of playing baseball, this is one of my favorites.  Under the lights on a warm summer day.  I don’t even remember if he scored.  (I do remember we were creamed)

Field of Dreams

Hey there Paper House fans!  Today I am sharing a layout I created using the Sports/All Star collections from Paper House Productions.  I used my son’s baseball photo from last year and these awesome sports papers and came up with this page:

Field of Dreams PH

Field of Dreams Layout Supplies:

I used my Cameo to cut the shooting stars from the All Star Paper and stitched through some of the shooting stars:

I used 2 of the tags and added one to each side of my matted photo and stitched them as well. I used some of the stars that were cut from the Cameo and scattered some around my page. That cute banner is included on the sticker sheet:

The mini alphas are from the fun sticker sheet, love them!

I added the baseball bat sticker on top of one of the stars and also added a wood veneer baseball. The “Field of Dreams’ title is printed right on the paper! Love that my title was already done for me 🙂

As soon as I saw that “hey now, you’re all star” sticker, I knew I had to use it! Also, because I know there is a song that has those words in it and I was singing it as I added it to my page. I just can’t remember the title or singer of that song?!

I hope I have inspired you in some way to dig out your sports photos and try these fabulous papers and  stickers.

Enjoy your day!

Play Ball Layout

Hello Paper House fans and followers! It’s Lee-Anne here today sharing a baseball layout of my youngest son when he played his first year of baseball a few years back.  Time sure does fly as he is now 16.

I used my antique sewing machine and stitched along the outside edge of the layout, the navy paper triangle, the circles and also the middle of the baseball stitched paper. I love the extra texture and homespun feel that stitching gives my layouts. This is totally optional.

I added lots of stickers to the layout and gave some of the stickers added dimension by using some foam adhesive squares on the heart sticker, the title “Play Ball” sticker and some of the baseball stickers.  I also added my son’s name with the mini alpha stickers on top of the heart sticker and also on bottom right corner on top of the ticket sticker.

Adding the star stickers directs the eye down the page to the title and photos.

The banner sticker strip and the baseball sticker strip are tucked slightly under the 4X6 photo and the 2X3 photo so it doesn’t leave a rough edge. I also added the circle heart sticker to the left triangle on the 4X6 photo.

Finally I added a little “homeplate” sticker beside the small photo and wrote the year with a black pen.

I hope you are inspired to create a sports themed page using the Baseball Collection. Have a creative day!

Baseball Layout

With opening day fresh in everyone’s minds I thought it was a perfect time to pull out the new All Star Collection and play with the baseball components!  Christine joining you today with a layout about my little slugger.

There’s a lot of circles happening in my design – to break that up I brought in the Baseball Snapshot Stickers.  The shape helps draw attention in to the photos and they also add an extra texture with their paper clips!

BaseballCU2

As I was creating this layout I knew I wanted to incorporate multiple patterns and circular elements.  I used a punch to do that and then tied in some of the round cardstock stickers to embellish.

BaseballCU3

This collection comes with stickers that work great for titles and subtitles – that always makes figuring out that part of the layout a little easier.

Let’s Play Ball

Happy Leap Year Day Paper House Fans!  Angel here today with my very first post!  I’m going to be showing you my love for fussy cutting. The second I opened the sports collection I knew I would be cutting out the patterns on these papers. I just could not wait to cut out those baseballs.

Lets Play Ball

     Let’s Play Ball Supply List

Lets Play Ball close up.jpg

I had the look of the layout in my head and I had to use everything. As you can see I used the back as well as the front of the pattern papers listed in the supplies.

Lets Play Ball close up 1

I fussy cut all the baseballs (and repurposed them into softballs) then layered them. I even tucked them on the sides of the layout in a cluster.. I also Fussy cut some of the images that were on the Pattern Paper called Baseball tags. They make such cute elements for your layouts. I also could not resist adding the cheers sticker as well from the new Discover-England Cardstock stickers. I love how it all comes together.

Now who’s ready to play ball?

Field of Dreams Home Decor

Yesterday we shared a layout from Susie using some of our new sports papers.  Today we are going to share a wall hanging made by Christine using the exact same supplies!
We love sports in our house – basketball, baseball, football, you name it! So I am very excited about all the new sports collections and love that there is a general one too! I made a wall hanging with some of the new sports pieces.

Two of my three sons have sports themed rooms so these collections are going to get some serious mileage for home decor in my house!

After painting my wood plaque I added the background green number patterned paper. I carefully surrounded that with some bakers twine in a coordinating blue. Then came in that fabulous blue houndstooth paper and the Field of Dreams paper for the top layer. I also cut out a word border and added that to the top. Lastly I added some circles and stars to add a little extra to the top! Can’t you just see the little slugger in your life loving something like this???
