Hello! Samantha here with a layout using some of the new tropical papers from Paper House. They are perfect for scrapping tropical fun, summer getaways, memories made in the sunshine, or in my case a summer boat layout.
When I scrap, I usually have a photo and then pick paper to match. This layout though…I fell in love with the Love This Life paper. It’s just so pretty and I knew I had to use it right away. I dug through my unscrapped photos and found this fun one that I thought would work beautifully with Love This Life. The photo is of my sons and their cousin in a boat on the lake.
I wanted to use the words already printed on the paper as my title. To make sure the words stood out on the page, I added some stickers around the title to help draw your eye to it.
What I love so much about these new release papers is that they coordinate so well with a bunch of embellishments from Paper House that I already have. There are cardstock stickers, faux enamel stickers, 3D stickers, and even washi that match with these new collections.
For my layout today, I chose some faux enamel stickers, card stock stickers (from the Colorwashed collection), and some stick on pockets.
I layered patterned papers and embellishments around the photo to help it stand out from the pattern printed on the piece of Love This Life paper. I also used some foam adhesive under my photo do give the layout a bit more dimension.
Hello! Samantha here with a new layout today. I am so excited about Paper House’s new paper collections. I can never resist a pretty patterned paper, and this new release is full of them. Today’s Pool Fun Layout uses some of the new beachy, tropical feeling papers.
While these photos weren’t taken at a tropical location, they are taken at one of our favorite getaways. My husband goes to Omaha, NE for business quite often, and at least once a year we tag along. One of the hotels has a really fun pool with a slide and a bunch of water features. I took these photos on our most recent trip with him. While not in the tropics, there’s always a tropical feel to indoor water parks!
I have to take a minute to talk about the gorgeous colors in this collection. While they’re definitely bright, they’re also a bit more saturated than your typical tropical print. It makes them feel new and fresh, and honestly they are just so lovely to look at.
Don’t be afraid to mix and match these bold prints. I started my layout with the flamingo print and then layered on some green and yellow papers in a more subtle print to keep it from getting too busy.
The best part about this collection is that Paper House already has a ton of stickers that match perfectly. I chose some beach 3D stickers for some dimension and added in some card stock stickers from Sundrenched as well.
To put it simply I am the happiest at the Oregon Coast. The smell of salty air, the sound of crashing waves, and eating fish and chips made with freshly caught fish from the Pacific Ocean soothes my soul like nothing else. At recent trip to the Oregon coast I decided to immortalize the trip in a recent bullet journal scrapbook spread.
Just like any trip I picked up as many souvenirs as I could. But instead of purchasing anything I relied on finding things that would be perfect for my bullet journal spread. I simply fell in love with with the coasters at the restraunt we had dinner at.
The restaurant was a recently renovated fish cannery that sat on the boardwalk. It had windows in the floors to see the majestic sea lions. While I enjoyed a salmon burger and a cup of chowder I saw myself staring off to the sea. Fishing boats and cargo ships slowly moved past. Shore birds fluttered around fighting against the ocean winds.
After we ate a early dinner we drove around the historic town of Astoria, Oregon. It has beautiful victorian architecture as it was once a boom town in the 1880s. Wandering along the streets we saw beautifully preserved architecture that had somehow survived through the two great fires which burnt Astoria to the ground.
Astoria is where the Lewis and Clark expedition ended. It is where the first post office west of the rockies was built. It is where wheat and corn is shipped off to far away lands.
I picked up a couple of stickers from different businesses about entangled whales and how to make MAYDAY calls. After a long drive home I decided to create a journaling spread of my trip. Armed with Paper House Production paper and stickers, I created this spread. I loved how all the Paper House products worked so well together and helped me remember such a glorious day.
I can’t wait to create more bullet journal scrapbooking spreads.
If you want to replicate this spread or create something similar here is a list of the Paper House Productions products that I used. Remember to use my code PHP19LIV to receive 20% off your order!
Majken is sticking around to do some more designing for us in 2019 BUT before we dive into the new year we wanted to take a look back at some of her creations from 2018.
Here at Paper House we have a lot to offer to those who like to create themed scrapbook layouts. Although Majken doesn’t do those exclusively, the themed layouts she does certainly rock! Here’s a few of those creations!
Majken also does an extraordinary job of telling the story of life with non-themed products. Here’s just a handful of examples!
We’re looking forward to seeing what kind of creations she has up her sleeve in this new year!
Samantha is finishing out her second term with us here at Paper House. She brings a clean and simple style and works in all the different mediums from scrapbooking to home decor. Today we’re walking you thru her creations from this term!
First up Scrapbook Layouts
We challenged her to use 3 or less products on this one, obviously she had no trouble! Her three products were the Color Washed Collection, 3D Stickers, and Faux Enamel Stickers.
As a boy mom Samantha loves working with bright primary colors and stickers that coordinate perfectly. Here she combines the Great Outdoors Collection with several Clear Stickers and 3D Stickers.
Did you know Paper House has tons of wedding themed products to capture those romantic days? Samantha captures her family going to a wedding in this layout.
We love a multi-photo layout! Combine it with a grid style and some fabulous Faux Enamel Stickers and you can see why we celebrate the talents of Samantha!
Samantha captures a few trends in this layout – she’s rocking the Marbleous Paper Pad and therefore the Marble trend. She’s also working the 3 X 4 pictures in a grid form that seem to be popping up everywhere!
Puffy stickers combined with 3D stickers make this Beach themed layout pop!
Another area that Paper House has lots of options for you is Sports! Samantha used the All Star Paper Pad along with washi and stickers to showcase her little star.
It’s a good time at Paper House to be a Harry Potter fan! Samantha got to play with all kinds of Harry Potter goodies on this layout!
Who’d of thought you could put our products together to make a Monster Jam layout? Well we did of course, because we’ve got such a great variety of products!
Faux Enamel stickers combine perfectly with Color Washed Stickers!
You saw her work with Marbleous earlier in a couple of layouts – here she showcases it in a set of cards.
Finally she uses some of our beautiful Christmas Joy collection with 3D Stickers to make a sparkly shaker card.

If you’ve been to the beach this summer and have scrapbooking to get cranking on, then today, we have you covered! Our designers have been hard at work creating gorgeous Beach Themed Scrapbook Layouts using several of our beach collections and paper pads.
A sunny day, turquoise water, a sandy beach, this must be paradise. If it was ever lost, we surely have found it, and are happy to celebrate it in this paper crafting kit. Drizzly days not included. Just sunshine and relaxation.
Yvette combined the Paradise Found Collection with 3D Stickers, Washi Tape, and Stickers from our Sundrenched Collection to make this Multi-photo layout!
Carolyn combined fussy cutting with a scenic background paper to make her sandcastle pictures pop right off the page!
It’s amazing how certain colors can call to mind a host of memories. Take this Paper Pad, for example. We can almost feel the boardwalk beneath our sandals, hear the lapping of the waves on the shore, smell the fresh, salty sea breeze, all because of the vivid pinks and yellows and blues in this Sun Drenched paper pad.
Nicole showcases all the layers you can make with this Paper Pad! Sun Drenched is available in both a Paper Pad and in individual sheets and stickers.
Both Nicole and Sara are showcasing layouts that are 8 1/2 X 11 in size. It’s a smaller format that they have both found they like better. Sara used a tearing technique to mimic the look of waves on her layout.
Majken is kicking off her term with this colorful and detailed 12 X 12 layout. Take a close look at all the added details she gave to this including the beach scene along the bottom and machine stitching on her sunshine.
There are so many things to love about the beach, and they’re all featured in this Paper Pad. The bright colors evoke a sunny day lounging in the sand, with the sound of the surf and the cry of the gulls for background ambience. Go ahead. Get your feet wet.
Yvette created this layout and as you can see it features some rich colors.
Wanna check out some of our beach stickers? You can find them all right here!
Hi everyone! Laura here with you all today! As a scrapbooker, I love making albums full of memories. Lately, I’ve found a great new way to take notes and remember the trips we go on…..a traveler’s notebook. Paper House has some gorgeous ones!
We love our yearly trip to North Carolina and the beautiful beaches there. The Paper House Tropical Journey Book is a perfect fit for this years road trip!
The Sun Drenched papers and stickers are great for creating little scenes on your page and all compliment each other perfectly. And those cute little starfish and seahorses on this page are part of the Micro Stickers collection from Paper House Life Organized. They are a good way to highlight bullet points you’d like to make sure to remember.
The different sizes of washi tape in each of the Paper House washi sets make great page dividers, or you can layer them together to make wider borders.
And to wrap it all up, the embossed outer cover is so detailed, has a band to secure everything, and you can add a cute little charm to add a little extra something.
This charm, is a simple paper clip, with 2 paper circles glued together over it, and a NeonTropical Faux Enamels sticker. A great little finish to this road trip journey notebook!
Thanks for stopping by today! Stop by soon for more inspiration!
Hi everyone! Laura here with you today to share a bright and “Just Beachy” LO created with the beautiful rich colored, foil accented papers, matching stickers, and alphas, found in the Paper House Sun Drenched 12×12 Paper Pad.
These paper pads have so much in them to play with with!! The great journal type cards you can layer up (the starfish and the “splish splash”) and also the cute stickers you can use for fun accents around your pictures. The quality of the heavy cardstock stickers from Paper House is amazing!
The foiled papers are great to use as an accent….here I just cut a 2&1/2″ strip of the paper and then cut it into different widths.
They are arranged at different heights under the edge of the paper before being glued down. A little tip to make them easier to work with….once I thought the pattern of the paper strips looked good, I gently lifted the paper mat, and used a strip of double stick tape to hold all the paper strips together. Then I could move them around where needed to glue them onto the page, without having to worry about them shifting out of place. I curled them up slightly to give them a little more of a fringe effect.
Another bonus is having matching alphas right in the Sun Drenched paper pad!
Cute and colorful….I love having matching alphas to add titles to my page…..how about you? When I scrapbook, I tend to have one or two pages in a set of pictures that have journaling telling most of the story, for the other pages, I like my title to tell the story. It’s also great to have a couple of different alpha options included to make the title a little more interesting.
Hi everyone! I don’t know about you, but I am tired of cold weather! I live in Ohio and the weather here cannot seem to make up its mind. One day it’s freezing cold, one day it’s snowing and then we have those days where we get a glimmer of hope that warm weather actually exists. It’s during this roller coaster of weather changes, that I wish I was on a warm beach somewhere. Now, even though I don’t see a warm beach in my future anytime soon, I can still do my favorite beach activity which is reading!
To bring a little beachy warmth into my life and into yours, today we are making Beachy Bookmarks! These bookmarks were created using a new paper pad by Paper House which is the Sun Drenched 12’’ Paper Pad. This paper pad contains 48 colorful sheets of paper and is packed full of different ”beach themes”. Also, the nice thing about this paper pad is that it comes with a full sticker sheet which includes individual letters, phrases, and decorative stickers.
When you combine this paper pad with a lamination machine, you get the perfect ”water-proof” bookmarks which are perfect for a day at the beach!
To create your own Beachy Bookmarks featuring the Sun Drenched Paper Pad, you would do the following:
Step 1: Go through the Sun Drenched paper pad and pick out your favorite pieces of scrapbooking paper. Once you have chosen your favorite pieces, cut out rectangles which are 6 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Finally, using your hole punch, punch a hole at the top of your rectangle.
Before we move on to step 2, I do want to mention a couple of things that you might want to keep in mind while you are cutting out your bookmarks.
1. If you are someone who likes bookmarks with rounded corners, now would be time to round the corners before you laminate your bookmarks.
2. While cutting out your bookmarks, look for ways in which you can incorporate the design of the scrapbooking paper into your bookmark. For example, many of the pages in the Sun Drenched paper pad have words written on them. These pages make the best bookmarks (like my Beachy Keen or Sunkissed bookmark) because they already look like ”store-bought” bookmarks.
3. Don’t forget to use the stickers that come with the paper pad! Adding a simple sticker to a decorative piece of paper (like my Seahorse bookmark) is all you need to create a cute bookmark.
Step 2: When you are done decorating/cutting out your bookmarks, laminate each of them using your favorite type of lamination method (I used Xyron). Once your bookmarks have been lamented, trim the excess laminate and re-punch the hole at the top.
Step 3: Now grab your yarn or ribbon and feed it through the hole in your bookmark. While doing this step, you can also add extra embellishments (like a button) to your yarn or ribbon before you tie it off.
Once you are done decorating, you are now ready to use your bookmarks!
I might have made too many bookmarks, but a reader should have some options!
One thing that I didn’t show in the tutorial, that you could totally do, is scrapbook or journal a past beach adventure onto your bookmark. For example, you could cut out your paper for your bookmark and then use it as a mini scrapbooking page. Then once you are happy with how your bookmark looks, you could then continue with the rest of the steps. By doing this, you would truly have a customized bookmark which gives you all those beachy vibes!
Hello everyone! It’s Laura here with you today, sharing a scrapbook page created with the Paper House Destinations Travel stickers. These are great if you love to travel….about anywhere you go, they have you covered!
We travel to the beach in North Carolina every year, and of course I take a lot of pics to scrap! These Paper House Destinations stickers have a great selection of different stickers whether it’s a road trip, a beach trip, or if you are just playing tourist and seeing some of the sights.
I did start this LO off with the Marbleous….one of the beyond gorgeous 12×12 paper pads Paper House has to offer. It includes border strips….you can see where I layered some of those along the top and bottom edges of my page. It also has a lot of gorgeous foiled papers, like the hexagon paper I used. I cut it into 2 pieces, and fussy cut around one edge to give it the page a fun background. Here is a picture before I added in the other layers and photos:
These marbled papers are truly stunning! They make such a great backdrop for pictures, and there are so many different color palettes to choose from in this one 12×12 pad.
In this close up, you can see the foil, and better yet, you can see the amazing details in the Destination stickers!
Don’t you love the little license plate and the road sign? Adorable!! Do you take the pictures of the state welcome signs like I do? Even if you don’t you can use these stickers! They really layer up great too!
These Destinations sets also have a perfect little state outline sticker too. It’s such a fun detail as you can see here:
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make sure to stop by the Paper House store and check out their huge selection of all the different Destination stickers! You’ll be ready for scrapping that next vacation or road trip!
