All this week our designer’s were challenged to work with a limited amount of products and create boy themed projects. Prepare to have your mind blown when you see what can be done with just a few sheets of patterned paper, one set of 3D stickers, and some Washi Tape!
Carolyn has been waiting YEARS to use these pictures! They could not be a better match with the Boy Mom 3D Sticker Set.
Nicole seamlessly combines 3D stickers and patterned papers to make this selfie layout! We love seeing moms on the scrapbook pages too!
How awesome to see Tara, one of our in house designers, working with the stickers she created! She also made use of this month’s sketch for her layout!
We love how inventive Sara got with her washi tape – using it to back both her title and subtitle!
In house designer Rebecca wanted in on the fun too! She captured her cute cat for this fabulous spin on the challenge!
Another creative use of the washi from Yvette! We love her choice of cut files that help bring that eye into the picture.
Never afraid of a challenge, Terri (our resident cardmaker), totally rocked this layout. You just can’t go wrong with circles!
Finally, Christine also go in on the action. She used this month’s sketch and created this layout for us on our Sunday night Live Craft Session over on Facebook.
We hope you’ve enjoyed this walk thru all these amazing projects! Check out the products by clicking on any of the thumbnails below:
If you’ve been to the beach this summer and have scrapbooking to get cranking on, then today, we have you covered! Our designers have been hard at work creating gorgeous Beach Themed Scrapbook Layouts using several of our beach collections and paper pads.
A sunny day, turquoise water, a sandy beach, this must be paradise. If it was ever lost, we surely have found it, and are happy to celebrate it in this paper crafting kit. Drizzly days not included. Just sunshine and relaxation.
Yvette combined the Paradise Found Collection with 3D Stickers, Washi Tape, and Stickers from our Sundrenched Collection to make this Multi-photo layout!
Carolyn combined fussy cutting with a scenic background paper to make her sandcastle pictures pop right off the page!
It’s amazing how certain colors can call to mind a host of memories. Take this Paper Pad, for example. We can almost feel the boardwalk beneath our sandals, hear the lapping of the waves on the shore, smell the fresh, salty sea breeze, all because of the vivid pinks and yellows and blues in this Sun Drenched paper pad.
Nicole showcases all the layers you can make with this Paper Pad! Sun Drenched is available in both a Paper Pad and in individual sheets and stickers.
Both Nicole and Sara are showcasing layouts that are 8 1/2 X 11 in size. It’s a smaller format that they have both found they like better. Sara used a tearing technique to mimic the look of waves on her layout.
Majken is kicking off her term with this colorful and detailed 12 X 12 layout. Take a close look at all the added details she gave to this including the beach scene along the bottom and machine stitching on her sunshine.
There are so many things to love about the beach, and they’re all featured in this Paper Pad. The bright colors evoke a sunny day lounging in the sand, with the sound of the surf and the cry of the gulls for background ambience. Go ahead. Get your feet wet.
Yvette created this layout and as you can see it features some rich colors.
Wanna check out some of our beach stickers? You can find them all right here!
I began with these bubble pictures and liked how the gold foil on the paper looks like bubbles. I found a cut file that looked “bubbly” and cut it from more gold color washed paper using my Silhouette Cameo. I backed the bubbles using cut apart cards from the paper pad.
I fussy cut the multicolored butterflies and the “wild and free” circle. The title, flags and arrows are all stickers that come with the paper pad. You can see a little bit of the purple Marbelous paper peeking out in this close-up.
I added a couple more butterflies from the Butterfly Project Pad to balance the page. I love how the Project Pad coordinated with the Paper Pad and the butterflies just pop right out. No need to use a cutting machine or fussy cut.
Thanks for looking at my layout today! Enjoy the last little bit of our summer bubble blowing weather.
It’s Carolyn here today to show you a traveler’s notebook I made using the Travel Craft Set. I always bring a boring old notepad on my trips so I thought it would be fun to dress one up. I really like how it turned out and now I need to go on vacation so I can use it!
I began with this notebook. First I removed the coils. Then, I traced the size of the notebook on the back of one of the sticky sheets in the craft set. I stuck the sheet to the cover and wrapped it around so it began and ended on the back of the cover.
I added the 3D embellishments that came in the kit and used the alphas for my title.
I wrapped a cord from my stash around the cover to finish it off and then replaced the coils.
There you have it! Easy-peasy! There is also a lot left over in the craft set so I will be using it to decorate the inside of my notebook during my travels. Thanks for checking out this post and happy travels!
Hello paper fans! Carolyn back today with two friendship cards showcasing the beautiful Be Happy Paper Pad and My Sentiments Exactly Stamps. They were so easy to put together and now I have some cards ready to make the day of some special friends.
For this card, I folded a piece of 8.5′ x 11′ white cardstock. I cut the flowers from black cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo. The ovals in the large flower are the negative cuts from the small flowers! I used two different ribbons from my stash and used the flower stickers that come with the paper pad. The sentiment is stamped using white ink. There were enough sentiments in the stamp set to personalize the inside of the card.
This card is the same as the other card but this time I used fussy cutting for the flowers. I love how fancy the stamp sentiment looks on this card! I could never have written something so pretty.
I hope you will take a moment to click on the supply lists above. My Sentiments Exactly has so many stamps to choose from you can’t go wrong. The stamps stuck really well to my clear block and were very easy to clean with water. But most importantly, the stamped images were clear every time.
Thanks for stopping by and make sure to say hello to a special friend today!
Hello! Carolyn back today and I am super excited to show you the calendar I made with the Punch Out Project Pads. My daughter has become quite interested in dance this year and is always making little calendars to keep track of her practice. When I saw this white board I knew she would love it and I would have fun decorating it!
I began by choosing the colors I wanted and then punching out a whole bunch of butterflies and hearts. I played with them until I figured out a layering pattern that I liked and glued a bunch together. I adhered them to magnetic strips so that my daughter can move them anywhere she would like on the board.
I went through the frame pad and punched out all the cards with words on them that I felt fit my theme of dance and practice. I punched out corresponding frames (which have the folds already scored) and glued everything together. I also put magnetic strips on the back of the frames.
These box frames I stuffed with tissue so they would be sturdier when pulled off the board. I had lots of fun layering hearts to make flowers and decorate the boxes.
The project pads make a craft like this so easy! They are packed with a variety of shapes and colors that all coordinate. This would be an easy craft with kids and my daughter is excited to make more accessories for her board with me.
Hello everyone! Carolyn here today with a simple and fun picture frame that can be given as a new baby gift or a project for a special picture. The new Craft Sets from Paper House pair perfectly with the penblades!
I began with this old wood frame that is meant for crafting. I painted it a long time ago and never liked it. I decided to use the craft set and Pen Blades to bring it back to life. This image shows the decal paper that comes in the kit, the layered stickers, alphas and Pen Blades.
I wrapped the craft paper around the frame while folding down the corners. I used the #11 Pen Blade to cut the window out of the frame. It was so sharp and so easy to control.
I pushed the sticky paper into the corners and used the Pen Blade to cut off the excess.
I finished it off with lots of embellishments. I made the accordion flower by scoring a strip of paper in intervals and then folding them into a flower shape. I’m so happy to be enjoying this frame again and that you could join me today.
