December Album

Hello! Samantha here with you. Today I’d like to share a little bit about how I memory keep (aka scrapbook) for the busy month of December and show you a few of my pages in progress.

Supplies: Christmas Joy Craft Set, Christmas Joy Puffy Sticker, Peace Love Home Double Sided Paper, Home for Christmas Tags Double Sided Paper

I put everything that happens into December into a mini pocket page style album. If you’re a flat scrapbooker, journey or travelers notebooks work well, but if you’re like me and like to use lots of 3D stickers and lumpy bumpy embellishments, a thicker binder style book works better.

I always start by creating my cover. This year I’m feeling a bit sentimental, and the glittery house on the Home for Christmas Tags Double Sided Paper had me feeling all warm and fuzzy, so I built my cover around that .

Everything that happens in December, all the pictures I take, go into the December album for that year. Sometimes the photos are festive and Christmas themed and sometimes they are just regular life things.

Because December is so busy and filled with fun events and memories, this style of printing photos, adding a journaling tag, and popping on a few fun stickers works really well for me. It’s fast, utilizes a lot of the fun Christmas stickers and embellishments that Paper House has to offer, and helps me get my memories down on paper while they’re still fresh in my mind.

All of these mini December albums get put on a shelf in the living room when we put out our Christmas decor. It’s so fun to look through them throughout the month and see all of our holiday memories and traditions.

Christmas Decor

Hello! Samantha here with you today. I love creating Christmas decor for my house every year. Sometimes I create something intricate and fussy and sometimes I keep it clean and simple, but it’s always a lot of to add something hand made to my Christmas decor.

Supplies: Christmas Joy Craft Set OR Christmas Magic Cardstock Multipack, Peace Joy and Love Double Sided Paper, and Christmas Joy Double Sided Foil Scrapbook Paper

As you can see, this time I decided to go with a clean and simple decor piece with a simple phrase.

One of my favorite things to do is to take what is currently popular or trendy and incorporate it into my own style. Farmhouse style decor is everywhere right now. For this sign I was inspired by the wood framed white word signs with black lettering that you see in almost every store (and lots of homes). I copied the words in two coordinating fonts on an almost solid colored background.

I decided to use the phrase “A thrill of hope”, but phrases like “Deck the Halls”, “Mistletoe & Co.”, “Joy to the World” or “Silent Night” would work really well, too.

I used 2 different patterned papers that are in contrasting colors, but have the same all over snowflake pattern. The cream letters on the red background have a similar feel to the black letters on a white background. The subtle snowflake pattern on the paper adds a little bit of dimension and interest to the sign (and mixing patterned papers is a nod to my style).

I finished up by dotting my “i” with a snowflake sticker and adding a few gold star stickers.

My finished sign is about 10″ x 12″.

Scrap lifting from our Pinterest boards!

Julie Tucker-Wolek Circle 2Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! This week, the Design Team¬† we are scraplifting a project from the Paper House Productions Pinterest board, and I chose this one from fellow team member Tinagale Husong! ūüôā¬† I love altering things, so when I saw this from Tinagale, I was inspired to make one for my Christmas Decor using the ‘Christmas Joy’ collection!

I started by painting my embroidery hoop a deep green to match my theme. Once that was dry, I cut ‘Christmas Joy’ paper and acetate paper to fit the back of my hoop!¬† I also took the ‘ornament’ packaging from the Christmas Flake Stickers and used it as an embellishment on here!

Pinterest Inspired Christmas Joy Scrapbook Layout

CarolynCircle2I’m so excited for Christmas but also sad that this is my last post as part of the 2017 Design Team. This has been such an amazing experience for me – thank-you Paper House Productions! Now for my final layout. Our theme this week is to be inspired by a layout from the Paper House Productions Pinterest page. I chose a layout by our fabulous team leader – Christine Meyer.

Here is my layout:

I thought putting paint behind an acetate paper was a brilliant idea. It was so much fun. I splattered and smooshed it with plastic packaging on a piece of white cardstock. The plaid paper is from the Great Outdoors collection and the remainder is from the Christmas Joy collection.

I cut the stars from the stick on pockets. This was a great way to stretch my supplies. I’ve made so many layouts and cards with this collection!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to stop by the Pinterest page for lots of inspiration for your Paper House goodies! Happy Holidays!

Christmas Joy Banner

Hello everyone, TinaGale here. For my project today I wanted to do something festive and fun for my office. I love having photos of my family around so this little banner will be a perfect touch. The Christmas Joy collection is one of my favorites and this turned out better than I could even anticipate with all the gold sparkles. PH 1222

Supplies used:

Christmas Joy tags, Christmas Memories, cardstock stickers, planner stickers, puffy stickers, epoxy stickers, rice paper

This would have been gorgeous even without all the embellishments but oh my I had fun decking it all out with all the different stickers and embellishments from this collection. I used some candy cane stripe twine from my stash to string it all together.

I can’t wait to hang it up in my office. It’s sure to brighten my days up while I’m working. I hope you enjoyed my little project and have been inspired to create something to decorate your space with.

Paper House Christmas Sticker Cards

Melinda Circle2Hello crafty friends,

Melinda here with you today and I am excited to share some super quick and easy cards I created with some of the Paper House Productions Christmas paper and stickers! Here is what I came up with.

Paper House Productions Christmas Stickers cardPaper House Productions Christmas Stickers card

Supplies Used: Christmas Joy Double Sided Paper, Christmas Joy Mega Accessory Set Christmas Magic Cardstock Multi Pack, Merry & Bright 3D Stickers,  Christmas Washi Tape

For both cards, I started with a cream cardstock base. Standard A2 size. They are 4.25 x 11 and scored at 5.5 to make them a top fold base.

For this card, I used the Christmas Joy patterned paper from both sides. That wonderful image of the ornament and pine cone is a perfect 4×3 image on the “other” side of the striped print side. I paired it with a couple of stickers. I ran some of the wonderful washi tape along the side and that was it!¬† Made this card shine with no effort!Paper House Productions Christmas Stickers card

Here is a closer look at the cardstock sticker I used for the sentiment. I love the weight of these stickers. They are a perfect option.

For this next card, I created the little tag and banner svg file and cut them out of some plain cardstock. I then used the stocking sticker from the 3D sticker set. I love the layers and it even has some glitter on the top.  It was the perfect element. I added the Ho Ho Ho sticker to the bottom as it was a perfect match. Like the previous card, I used more of the same patterned paper and again used the beautiful foiled vellum washi tape to give the card a finished border.

I added a couple of puffy stickers to add a little visual interest to the corner and it was all done! Quick, easy and love the beautiful elegance. I let the fantastic range of products from Paper House do all the hard work!

December Pocket Album Pages

Happy December! Samantha here with you. Every December I create a pocket style mini album that I use to document all the fun we have during December. I love having all our memories in one place, and truthfully, if I didn’t do a quick pocket style album for December, it might never get scrapped. I love Christmas and pack in a lot of fun! Today I have the first few pages from my December pocket album. It’s not too late to start your own!

Supplies: Christmas Joy Tags, Christmas Joy Peace Joy and Love, Merry and Bright 3D Sticker, Christmas Magic Cardstock Multipack, Christmas Puffy Stickers

I like to keep my designs simple. Cut apart tags are a great way to fill empty space and add a pretty design element. Add a sticker or two right on top of your photos for an extra touch of personalization.

The best part of scrapping an album like this is that you can come back to add more if you’re creating a page about an activity that takes place throughout the season. For example, we watch Christmas movies and have special treats all December long. I still have space to add one more photo, and it’s really easy to pull out my journaling tag to add to the list of movies we watched and coordinating treats that we had.

You can even mix and match the sizes of your photos. I mix 4 x 6 pages in with my standard 6 x 8 photos. There are no rules here. The more you mix the textures of your embellishments and sizes of your photos, the more you’ll love your album.

How do you document your December?

Christmas Joy Scrapbook Layout

CarolynCircle2

Are you getting excited for Christmas?! I sure am! It’s Carolyn back today with a scrapbook layout using the Christmas Joy collection. There are so many fun stickers and pretty papers, this layout was easy to make.

merryandbrightPH

Supplies for Christmas Joy Layout: Christmas Memories 12″ Double Sided Scrapbook Paper, Merry and Bright 3D Sticker, Christmas Magic Cardstock Multi Pack, Christmas Flake Stickers, Christmas Puffy Clips, Christmas Stick On Pockets, Peace Joy and Love 12″ Double Sided Scrapbook Paper,¬†Christmas Joy Tags 12″ Double Sided Foil Scrapbook Paper.

I began with these two pictures of super excited children eagerly awaiting their gifts. I really love the Christmas Memories paper so I used it as my background. I cut out the wreath with my Silhouette Cameo using the Peace Joy Love paper. Next I layered the stripe paper behind my photos. On the other side of the photos, I used the poinsettia stick on pockets. The holly leaf stick on pocket is perfect for holding one of my pictures.

SAMSUNG CSC

Can you find the flake stickers on my layout? They blend in so perfectly, it is hard to tell they are not part of the pictures. The star on the tree, the Santa hat, the holly leaves and four of the presents are flake stickers.

SAMSUNG CSC

To finish the layout I used a 3D title and pulled the puffy clip present off the clip to add dimension. There are also cardstock stickers for some sentiments, the date and star embellishments.

Make sure to stop by the Paper House Shop to pick-up some Christmas goodies! Have a wonderful, scrappy holiday season!
