Fun Planner Ideas

Today we have a special feature from Brand Ambassador Erin Reed!

I love finding fun things to use in my planners, which I use for my work for social media, deign team posts, videos due, events, etc.  So my planner is functional and also I like to make it pretty!!

Paper House Productions has some amazing stickers and dies that are just perfect for planners, and some are made specifically for them!!  Here is my video with some tips on playing in your planner.

My theme for the month was just a color, so why not play it up and pull from all kinds of sticker sheets.  I even pulled stickers from the Life organized Nautical Planner Stickers, even thought it did not have any green, the gold was a perfect touch!

A ton of the little green pieces came from the Emerald Accent pack, I just love all the little bits from this, they are perfect for planners!!!

And then some of my favorite stickers I also pulled in to my planners since they were green.  First is the 2″ Butterfly Stickers, green butterflies!!

And then Sing Your Song Canvas Art Stickers, I love these!!!

It is fun to mix a little of the old with a little of the new!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Creating with Kids – Scrapbook Title Page

Hi there Paper House Fans!  Christine joining you today with a brand new series here for Paper House where we will be sharing ideas on Creating with Kids!  I will be sharing a scrapbook layout on the 1st and the 15th that can be made with and by (mostly) your kids!  Today we will kick it off with a Title Page layout for their scrapbooks!

Supply List

For each tutorial I will have a video for you showcasing how we put the layout together and highlighting all the supplies you will need!

Here’s a close up look for you of this simple layout!
As you can see it’s not a complicated layout and with a little guidance she was able to do a lot of it on her own!  Of course it’s Crafting WITH Kids so we don’t want her to have to be all alone but with her mom :).

If you replicate this layout be sure to show it to us on our Facebook Page – we’d love to see how it comes together!

Hi Paper House Fans! Melissa joining you today with a Halloween page I made with some very fun and cool products from Paper House. I love the rich colors and details of the papers, especially the contrast of the blue and beige.

Supplies Used:

To make this page I put some foam core board between the layers under the photo. I placed the flowers, owl, and other stickers where I wanted them, then applied texture paste with a stencil. I mixed gold mica powder and water and painted the sunbursts. I also went over some flowers with gesso.   I finished by putting on the rest of the embellishments, which include metal chain, mica flakes, bling, seed beads, and rub-ons. I drew lines around some items with a dark brown watercolor pencil.

I also stamped a few areas,  glued on small pieces of gauze, and glued on microbeads.

I love the detail on the owl.

Thanks for looking, and have a great day!

Do you love color? I do, and here’s a page that I think shows it. I used the beautiful Door to Atlantis Colorways paper from Paper House as my background. I love how the blue paper not only frames and highlights the page, but also creates a soft, peaceful mood.

Supplies Used:

To make this layout I sponged on gesso in order to prepare the background for the paint and textures I planned to use. I put the photo on watercolor paper with some foam core board in between to add dimension. I applied texture paste with three different stencils. I brushed on a layer of watercolors, then randomly dabbed on gold mica powder with my finger. I added more paint, and penciled in some areas with watercolor pencils. I glued on micro beads with glossy accents, and dabbed on another layer of gold mica.

I drew out some of the colors and details of the photo onto the paper behind it, and also used a blue butterfly to add visual interest. I tried to restrain myself from adding more items to the page, there was already a lot of detail in the photo.

I love the shimmery Gatsby Accent Pack pieces!

I used glass glitter, tulle, and a stamped peacock image, for more texture. Thanks for looking, and have a great day!

Let’s Escape To The Woods

Hello Paper House fans! It’s Lee-Anne here today and for the last two weeks the Paper House Productions designers have been sharing their favorite Paper House products.  For me, my favorite products are the new and beautiful Autumn Woods Collection.  Since Fall is such a gorgeous season where I live, I thought I would share a layout of my puppy Syd going for a walk with me in the forest near my home.  I just love the sound of crunchy leaves.

Let’s Escape To The Woods Layout Supply List

For my background I began with white cardstock and watercolored it with distress inks in coordinating colors of the patterned papers.

I fussy cut the leaves and the title and added dimension to the layout by adhering them with foam dimensional squares.  To make the photo stand out a little more, I matted it with the brown floral patterned paper.

I am smitten with the adorable fox puffy stickers so I added one to the bottom right hand corner of the photo and also the word “explore”.

For the bottom section of the layout, I cut and adhered some paper strips and also a floral border sticker.  Finally, I journaled above the paper strips with a black felt fine line pen and also below the floral border sticker.

I really love the warm tones of Fall and a puppy just makes it even better don’t you think?  Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the Autumn Woods Collection in the Paper House Productions store.

Just Breathe

For the next two weeks we will be featuring Designer’s Favorites – We asked each design team member to showcase their favorite Paper House Productions products in a project.  Melissa is kicking things off with this beautiful piece featuring her favorite: Orchid ColorWays.

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a card that uses a stunningly realistic photo of lavender by   Paper House. Purple is one of my favorite colors, and I love both the appearance and         fragrance of these little beauties.

Supplies Used:

To make this card I surrounded the flower image with a layer of gesso, and then glued on tulle, glitter, microbeads, pearls, rhinestones, glitter, sequins and some small pieces from the Gatsby Accent Pack. I put some gesso on the texture in random areas. I brushed on metallic paint, a mix of mica powder and water, and oil pastels, on top of the gesso.

I think it’s cool how the background paper looks like canvas.

Thank you so much for looking, and have a great day!

Peacock Feather

Happy Labor Day Paper House Fans!  Melissa joining you today with an art journal page for you, using a stunning photo from the Emerald Colorways Collection. Check out the shimmering, iridescent colors of the peacock feather! It inspired me to frame it with blues, greens, and lots of shine.

To make this page I used a 9 x 12 watercolor paper art journal.  I started by applying texture paste through a stencil. I splattered on layers of teal, purple, and gold with a brush, drying after each layer. I repeated this two more times, then misted with water.  I sponged on gesso randomly because the page seemed too busy. I applied a lot of things to create more texture: micro-beads, seed beads, glass glitter, glitter glue, rhinestones, pearls, thread, mica flakes, and sequins.

I dry brushed gesso over the top of most of the elements, and then painted with a teal color. I outlined the photo with watercolor pencil.

Faith Hope Joy Card

Hello friends! It’s Lee-Anne here and today I am sharing a simple card over at Paper House Productions.  I worked with the Atlantis Colorways Collection.  The colors in this collection are gorgeous!

Supply List

For this card I chose the striped side of the Atlantis Trim Cards 12″ Colorways Scrapbook Paper  and with my sewing machine I stitched around the edge with some white thread and adhered it to the white cardstock.

Using the other side of the Atlantis Trim Cards 12″ Colorways Scrapbook Paper, I took some scissors and cut out the small square designs and traced them with a die cut shape that I had from a cut file (Quilted Background) from Just Nick Digital Cut Files. Once they were traced, I cut the squares out with scissors.

I adhered the square designs onto the striped paper and then added the words “Faith, Hope, and Joy”.

I hope you enjoyed my card.  Be sure and check out all the beautiful products at Paper House Productions.

Happy creating!
