I wanted to use multiple papers so I made flower petals and layered them as shown in the photo.
To finish off the flower I added a rose sticker from the Flamingo Colorways collection cardstock sticker sheet. I also used the word Joyful at the bottom corner of the card.I am hopeful this card will be a joy to someone.
A few weeks ago, on Father’s Day, I invited everyone over for a BBQ Pool Party. There were 30 of us in all. It was fun, loud and a little bit crazy. (Just like this layout.) Thanks to the week before being warm and sunny, the pool was perfect for swimming. No chattering teeth or blue lips this year! Here’s my layout documenting that fun day!
Hi everyone! Melissa here with an art journal page for you. I love the detail and intense colors of Paper House products, so I made a stunning pink dahlia image the center of the project from one of their patterned papers.
I used a page of a 9 x 12 watercolor book to support all the media I wanted to use. I prepped the page with white gesso, followed by texture paste applied through some paper die cuts. I used pink shimmery watercolor, and water soluble oil pastels. I didn’t have sprays in the colors I wanted to use, so I mixed what I had with water, and brushed a lot on the diamond texture. I tipped the page in different directions, let the color run all over, misted it with water to soften and blend it, and used a heat gun to dry it. I used the same process for the green. I glued the beautiful flower image onto a piece of paper and put it on the page. To add more texture I added glass glitter, micro beads, seed beads, and threads that I pulled from a piece of gauze. I lightly brushed the pink pastel crayon over the diamond texture along the outer edges of the page, and misted it. I added green watercolor randomly in between the diamonds. If any of the colors ran together I blotted them off with a paper towel. I flicked on green and pink paint in random places.
To add more visual interest I put on butterfly and rose stickers, rub-ons, flowers, bling, stamps, a cut up black and white vintage photo, and die cuts.
The page looked too busy, so I brushed white gesso over some areas.I lightly brushed white gesso over the surface of the diamonds to accent the texture.
I don’t really like a mat white look, so I brushed pearl mica powder over all the areas I’d used gesso.
What better way than to showcase your keepsakes than by creating a keepsake frame!?! Angel with you today and I am going to show you how I did that by mounting photos on a burlap frame and adding my favorite products.
I loved making banners with the patterned paper. I also matted the butterfly sticker to cardstock that way I could use the image to make a embellishment once it been cut out. Just look how cute the chandelier looks in the corner hanging..I just love it!
The 3D stickers were so perfect for this project! Don’t be afraid to do things out the box. Those just may be your favorites projects of all..
Lisa here with you today to share a project I created using ColorWays Flamingo Collection. This is one of my favorite ColorWays collection! I created this frame to give to my daughter before she heads off to college this fall.
When I saw that I had to create an off the page project this month, I was a bit nervous, as I don’t do a lot of these. I had purchased a basic frame at Michaels about a year ago and decided this was the time to use it!
I started by painting my frame using white acrylic paint. Then I cut my papers so that they looked matted. Then I added some stitching.
I created my clusters using items from my stash and some of the Paper House awesome Puffy Stickers! I popped the “She believed she could, so she did” Cardstock sticker on foam tape to give some dimension and to add in front of the flowers.
I just love this believe Puffy Sticker! This is actually what inspired the theme of my frame.
I love how this frame turned out and will trying a few more off the page projects soon!
Hello friends! It’s Lee-Anne here today bringing you an off the page project. I love banners and I thought this would be perfect for a summer beach party. I thought flamingos and pineapples were a perfect addition to the banner to create a tropical feel.
I chose two Silhouette cut files (Flamingo) and (Banner) and cut out 8 flamingo die cut shapes and 8 banner die cut shapes on my electronic die cutting machine. I added one flamingo diecut to each banner. Then I added two flamingo stickers and two pineapple stickers as shown. Next I added a butterfly puffy sticker to each banner shape and also a Primrose puffy sticker to each flamingo die cut shape.
Once I had adhered all the stickers, I added a pink polka dot strip of patterned paper to the top of each banner shape and then machine stitched around each banner shape to give more texture. Finally I took a paper hole punch and punch two holes on the top corners of each banner shape and threaded it with a long piece of sheer ribbon.
I hope you are inspired to create a banner. Have a lovely day!
To make this page I first sponged on white gesso, to have a base for the paint to stick to. I stenciled on some texture paste, then sprayed with mist. I flicked on aqua shimmery paint with a paint brush.
I distressed the edges of papers and layered them. I put foam core board between them to add dimension. I put the photo on top and used double sided foam tape to attach it to the page.
To add texture and color I added gold mica powder, glass glitter, seed beads, micro beads, and glitter glue. I dry brushed some metallic paint over all the glitter and little beads. I added layers of pearl and aqua mica powder, and then some flowers and feathers.
I hope you liked my page, and have a wonderful day!
Hello there Paper House Fans! Lisa with you today to share a layout I created using Paper House goodies. We had Prom last month at school. This was my daughters last high school dance, kind of bittersweet for both of us!
I combined the Flamingo and Noir ColorWays Collections for this fun page:
I started my layout out by placing the Noir paper on the Flamingo Palm Tree paper. Then I cut 4 of the cards and placed them on my page. I adore the gold frame and just had to use it! That was actually how this layout came about.
Check out this “Today was the best day” card! More black and gold yumminess!
I added some tangled thread, more black and gold accents from the Noir Accent Pack and some gold mist spatters.
I cut a few of the strips of papers from the Edgings and Trimmings Papers and added those to the right side of my page, using a punch on one of them. I added some black stitching to make it pop. How about that pretty pink butterfly? That is a sticker that I adhered to cardstock and then glued only the center of it so that the wings popped off the page.
I used a few of the accent pieces and popped them up with foam tape to give my layout some dimension.
I love the contrast of the Flamingo collection against the Noir collection with the pops of gold! It’s so stunning and perfect for these photos!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with us!
I created the layout by using a diagonal design. I wanted to use several photos on my layout so I added some papers from the Flamingo Collection that I cut 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches and added some photos of the special day that I cut 2.25 inches by 2.25 inches.
For my embellishments, I added some 3D stickers from the Sister 3D Stickers, Bridesmaid 3D Stickers and some puffy stickers from the Hummingbirds Puffy Stickers.
I really enjoyed creating this layout. I hope you enjoy it too. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the Paper House Productions shop.
