Outdoor Adventure Layout

Hello! Samantha here today with an outdoor adventure layout. With so many of us taking outdoor vacations far away from others this summer, I thought it would be the perfect time to showcase one of my all time favorite collections: Great Outdoors.

Supplies: Great Outdoors Happy Camper Double Sided Paper, Great Outdoors Tags Double Sided Paper, Great Outdoors Beneath the Stars Double Sided Paper, Great Outdoors 12″ Cardstock Stickers, Great Outdoors Planner Stickers, Great Outdoors Epoxy Stickers, Great Outdoors Puffy Stickers

If you hunt, fish, camp, climb, hike, or spend anytime getting dirty in the great outdoors, this collection is for you! We spent a long weekend getting dirty riding 4-wheelers on a cattle ranch, so I’ll be using Great Outdoors to scrap photos from that trip. As you can see, some of us got very dirty in the great outdoors that weekend.

One of my favorite things about this collection is how many great embellishments there are. There are puffy stickers, enamel stickers, flake stickers, clips, planner stickers, washi tape, 3D stickers, and card stock stickers all as part of this one collection. I love using planner stickers for journaling tags. Adding some additional puffy and enamel stickers to the journaling sticker turns it from just journaling into a focal point of the layout. I also used some of the planner stickers as decorative strips under my photo. On the top side of the photo I created another embellishment cluster from card stock stickers and enamel stickers.

Finally, I balanced out the layout by adding a card stock sticker and puffy sticker embellishment cluster to the upper right hand corner.

Whether you went to the woods or the mountains, any outdoor adventures look fantastic when scrapped with the Great Outdoors collection!

If you need to replenish your Great Outdoors stash, you can use code PH20SAMANTHA at Paper House to get 20% off your entire order.

Marbelous Birthday Cards

Hello! Samantha here, and today I have something a little bit different for you. I have a set of 3 Marbelous birthday cards. I wanted to show you how many different options you have for card making with Paper House Stickers. All the cards use Marbelous paper as their base, they all use the same basic layout for the card, and they’re all even the same theme. However, by mixing and matching different types of stickers you get very different looks for each card.

Since I’m sharing 3 different cards today, I’ll share a photo of each individual card and list the supplies right afterwards.

Supplies: Marbelous 12″ Paper Pad, Birthday 3D Stickers, Kawaii Hearts Faux Enamel Stickers

This is the most elegant of the cards. I chose a to use some of the Marbelous card stock that has gold foil to match the gold in the 3D sticker and faux enamel stickers.

Supplies: Marbelous 12″ Paper Pad, Emoji Birthday 3D Sticker, Kawaii Not? Washi Tape, Kawaii Not? Rice Paper Borders, Kawaii Epoxy Stickers, Kawaii Cupcakes Puffy Clips

This card is a bit more fun. I created texture by using a puffy clip for my focal point and a 3D sticker for my greeting. To create the border I paired a shiny silver rice paper with some cupcake washi tape.

Supplies: Marbelous 12″ Paper Pad, Magical Faux Enamel Sticker,Kawaii Not? Rice Paper Borders, Kawaii Epoxy Stickers

This last card is completely whimsical, as I made it with my soon to be 5 year old niece in mind. A little rainbow rice paper is the perfect starting point for some magical stickers. This card uses mostly flat stickers (I sneaked in a small enamel heart) to make it easy to mail, but the fun faux enamel sticker adds a special touch to the card.

There you have it; a trio of Marbelus birthday cards.

Faux Enamel Pins featuring Faux Enamel Stickers

Katie King CircleHello Everyone! This month, the design team was asked to make a project using one of our favorite products from Paper House. I have been on the design team for almost six months and in that period, I have used Paper House’s scrapbooking paper, washi tape, stickers, planner supplies, and more. However, even though all of Paper House’s supplies are equally as amazing, there is one that is my absolute favorite. That my friends is Paper House’s Faux Enamel stickers!

If you are not familiar with the Faux Enamel Stickers, they were released earlier this year and are so adorable! Each Faux Enamel Sticker pack has a specific theme and contains about 10 to 13 stickers which are very vibrant in color. Besides the colors being vibrant, each sticker is lined with a hint of gold which gives the whole sticker an extra ”pop”.

Since the Faux Enamel Stickers are my favorite product, I thought it would be fun to combine my favorite product with one of my favorite collectibles. That collectible being, enamel pins! So, today, I and going to so you how to turn these Faux Enamel Stickers into Faux Enamel Pins!

Faux Enamel Pins

To create your own Faux Enamel Pins, you would do the following:

Step 1

Step 1: Grab your favorite Faux Enamel Sticker pack and stick them onto some sturdy cardstock. Once you have added your stickers to the cardstock, cut them out.

When choosing your stickers for this project, there are a few things that you should keep in mind:

1. Choose stickers that can easily be cut out and that don’t have that much negative space. For example, in the Brunch Faux Enamel Sticker pack above, the coffee mug would be diffcult to turn into a pin because of the negative space between the steam.

2. Consider what type of pin blanks that you have for your stickers. For example, if you have a long bar pin blank (see an example in step 3), you would not want to use it on a small short sticker.

Above, I am using the Glamping Faux Enamel Sticker and Brunch Faux Enamel Sticker pack.

Step 2

Step 2: Now apply a thin coat of Dimensional Magic to the top of your Faux Enamel Sticker. When applying the Dimensional Magic, you may want to have a toothpick handy, so you can pop any air bubbles. At first, the top of your enamel sticker may look ”cloudy” but that’s ok because it will dry completely clear.

After you finish applying the Dimensional Magic set your enamel sticker aside to dry for 24 hours.

Step 3

Step 3: When the Dimensional Magic is dry, flip your enamel sticker over and glue on a pin blank (I’m using a long bar pin blank) and set them aside to dry.

Once your enamel sticker pins are dry, you are ready to wear them!

Faux Enamel Pin 1

Faux Enamel Pin 2

Once you are done creating your enamel pins, you can easily wear them, display them, or add them to a plain bag!

With that in mind, I would be careful with these ”pins” since they are still stickers and not actual enamel.

In the last picture, you will see that I number each of the pins. Below, I listed the specific Faux Enamel Sticker pack, that the sticker came from.

****************************************************************

Katie King CircleHello Everyone! One of my favorite things to buy at arts and crafts shows is handmade signs! This is because I love how an artist might hand write a quote or draw an adorable illustration. I have tried making my own handmade signs but since I’m not a great drawer and I don’t necessarily care for my handwriting, they have always turned out a little odd. So, how do we solve this problem? Well, we get out our favorite adhesive tools and stickers!

Today, I am going to show you how to create a Sparkle Wooden Sign using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L! If you are unfamiliar with Scrapbook Adhesives they are a company that designs adhesives for the crafting industry. Some of the products they are best known for are their tape runners, mounting squares, 3D form products and adhesive dots. In today’s project, I will be using their tape runner and adhesive dots.

This Sparkle Wooden Sign is designed to be super easy to put together. For instances, to create this sign, I used a pack of Paper House’s enamel stickers. These stickers were my main focal point and I literally apply them in the same pattern that they were in on the sticker sheet. By doing this method, I didn’t waste time on figuring out a design and I was able to create a cute sign in under 30 minutes!

Sparkle Wooden Sign with Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L

To create your own Sparkle Wooden Sign, you would do the following:

Step 1

Step 1: Cut out a piece of scrapbook paper that will fit your wooden sign. Then, using the Scrapbook Adhesives E-Z Runner, glue your paper onto your wooden sign.

For my wooden sign, I used a piece a scrapbook paper from Paper House’s Color Washed 12’’ Paper Pad.

Note: I did paint my wooden sign before I began this step. However, painting your wooden sign is totally optional.

Step 2

Step 2: Grab your sticker sheet and begin adding each sticker to your wooden sign. While doing this step, you can either place your stickers (on your wooden sign) just like how they are on the sticker sheet or you can make up a whole new design.

For my wooden sign, I used Paper House’s Lucky Cat Faux Enamel Stickers.

Step 3

Step 3: To add some sparkle to my wooden sign and to tie in the gold enameling (that is around the stickers), I decided to add gold glitter using Scrapbook Adhesives Mini Dots (0.2 in or 5mm size).

To do this, all I did was add 7 dots in random places on my wooden sign. Then, I sprinkled some chunky gold glitter on top of the adhesive dots and tapped off the excess.

Once you are happy with how your wooden sign looks, simply add some wire or a piece of ribbon to hang your sign, and you are done!

Sparkle Wooden Sign with Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L 1

Sparkle Wooden Sign with Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L 2

I love how this Sparkle Wooden Sign turned out! I think a small sign like this would look so cute as part of a gallery wall, on a cork board, or even hanging in an office.

If you make your own wooden sign, I highly recommend that you use Scrapbook Adhesives products. This is because there is practically no drying time and you can easily add embellishments (like glitter) without needing to wait for everything to dry.

Paper House Productions & SpiegelMom Scraps Blog Hop & Giveaway – Day 4

PHP_spiegelmom-Co-Hop2018-banner (1)

Welcome to the Color Me Happy Blog Hop!  We’re pairing up with SpiegelMom Scraps all week long for some colorful projects showcasing out collections and their sequins!  We’ve got a great giveaway so be sure to stick around to the end of the post to get more details!

Daisie Hansen Circle

Hi everyone! I created this layout using the Marbleous paper pack and the coordinating card stock stickers. This collection is just gorgeous! The colors are stunning and the gold foiling really add the perfect touch!

I also used the stunning Make My Heart Sing sequin mix from SpiegelMom Scraps. They add just the perfect amount of sparkle and texture to the page!

Caitlyn Storm Circle

Anytime I get to create a project for my planner I get really excited. The products over at Spieglmom Scraps makes planner projects even easier to create! All you need is a vision and an idea to make it happen. A little help from some sequins doesn’t help, either!

Here are three super easy planner project DIY’s that you can make for your own planner!

spieglmom1

Project One: Planner Charm

spieglmom2

Planner charms are really fun to have! Not only are they decorative, but they allow you to have your personality and ideas shine! In order to put together a similar charm you’ll need a small glass bottle with a wide mouth.

Add some glitter, some Chocolate Cookies sequins, and a small element of your choice and you have the base to your charm! All you need to do to finish it off is add a chain and some additional elements you might want to include.

spieglmom3

To finish off my charm I added some ribbon and a key. You can easily add your own elements to create something all your own.

Project Two: Shaker Planner Clip

spieglmom6

The first time I ever made a shaker box was when I was 12. It was in a scrapbooking class with my mom. They were so fun to create (and still are!). I’m so happy that shakers have crossed over into the planner world as well! I knew that I needed to create a really cute shaker clip using the Easter Basket sequins.

spieglmom7

With the help of the Stargazer Faux Enamel stickers and both the Easter Basket and Morning Dew Drops sequins, I was able to create a beautiful clip!

Project Three: Planner Dashboard

spieglmom4

Dashboards can be utilized in multiple ways and adapted to different styles of planner. You can create them for regular spiral bound planners, for traveler’s notebooks, or any planner that you can think of! All you need is some plastic, some sequins, and something to seal your shaker.

When I saw the Mystical Mermaids Faux Enamel Stickers I knew I needed to include them in my dashboard! My original vision for this was a lot simpler, but they needed to be included! The Color Washed 12″ Paper Pad had some great quotes included in the pack! By utilizing some of the pre-made pieces that were the perfect size for a dashboard, I was able to layer everything together to put this together! To help bring my vision to life, I pulled some of the smaller blue and purple sequins from the Rainbow Bright sequin set and added in the rest of my Morning Dew Drops. Don’t they look like bubbles?

spieglmom5

The opposite side of the dashboard was an absolute no brainer! I didn’t add sequins to this side as I wanted the quote to be the highlight.

The washi edging made punching the holes for my planner a breeze. Plastic often breaks certain hole punches, so I always recommend adding a thinner layer such as washi to punch through. The Stargazer Washi Tape Set looked great with this dashboard, so that was an added bonus!

I hope you enjoyed these little projects I put together for you! See you all in my next post.

XOXO,
Caitlyn

Paper House Productions and SpiegelMom Scraps Blog Hop & Giveaway – Day 2

PHP_spiegelmom-Co-Hop2018-banner (1)

Welcome to the Color Me Happy Blog Hop!  We’re pairing up with SpiegelMom Scraps all week long for some colorful projects showcasing out collections and their sequins!  We’ve got a great giveaway so be sure to stick around to the end of the post to get more details!

Today we are showcasing Maria’s creations!

Maria Russell CircleHello my crafty friends.  I hope you are all having a great day!  I am super excited because this week, the Paper House Productions design team is teaming up with Spiegelmom Scraps.  We have received some colorful sequin mixes from Spiegelmom Scraps and I thought I would make two shaker cards, showcasing the sequin mixes and some beautiful faux Enamel and Puffy Stickers from the Paper House Productions.

For my first card, I used the Party Puffy stickers, the Puffy Numbered Candles stickers and the Rainbow Bright sequin mix, with some items that I already have from my collection.

PHPSMSCard1

For my second card, I wanted to create an underwater scene with the Mystical Mermaid Faux Enamel stickers and of course the colorful sequin mix from Spiegelmom Scraps.  If you watch my YouTube process video, you will be able to see how I created this scene.

PHPSMSCard2A

Please click on the link below to see my process video.  I hope you will also consider subscribing to my YouTube channel if you haven’t done so yet.  Which one is your favorite?   I hope you got inspired today.  I have listed and linked the supplies I used below.  Have a wonderful day!

Supplies:  Mystical Mermaids Faux Enamel Stickers with Foil Accents, StickyPix Numbered Candles Puffy Stickers, StickyPix Party Puffy stickers.

Katie King CircleHi everyone! I don’t know about you, but I love cute stationary! Anytime I am at the store, I can’t help but wander down the office supply section to see what is new. With that being said, cute stationary can be a bit pricey. This can especially be true if the stationary has some sort of ‘’cool element’’ to it, like it being holographic. So, to save you money on stationary, while also providing you a super easy way to make your own, I give you today’s DIY!

Today I am going to be showing you how to make your own Mini Shaker Notebooks! These mini shaker notebooks are a great way to dip your toe into the ”shaker card world” if you have been wanting to try something new. I opted to go the mini notebook route because 1) they looked so cute and 2) they were the perfect size for the motivation phrases in the Color Washed 12” Paper Pad. Besides the Color Washed Paper Pad, I also used a bunch of adorable sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps!

Now, when making your own mini shaker notebooks, I do recommend using SpiegelMom Scraps sequins. This is because the sequins are the right size for the mini notebooks and come with at least 3 different sequins ”types” in the pack. For example, in the pack ”Because You Love Me”, you get the colors antique gold, dark red, and copper metallic. Due to that, I was able to pick out more gold sequins for my mini ”make ideas happen” notebook and remove some of the red sequins.

This is just something you might want to keep in mind when making your own mini shaker notebooks.

Mini Shaker Notebooks Featuring Spieglemom Scraps

To create your own Mini Shaker Notebooks featuring SpiegleMom Scraps, you would do the following:

Step 1

Step 1: Take the cover all off of your mini notebook and set the pages/back cover to the side. Then grab your craft knife and cut out a small square in the middle of your front cover. Once the small square has been cut, glue a piece of paper from the Color Washed 12″ Paper Pad to the front cover. Finally, recut the small square and (using an awl) poke through the holes at the top of your mini notebook.

When you are done with this step, you should have something like the above photo.

Step 2

Step 2: Flip your font cover over, so you are viewing the back. Then cut a piece of a clear plastic sheet that is big enough to cover the square hole. Once your piece of clear plastic has been cut, apply double-sided tape around all four edges of the square and apply your clear plastic. Finally, grab your SpiegelMom Scraps sequins (I used Because You Love Me) and sprinkle a small amount in the center of your clear plastic sheet.

Note: You will only want to use a small amount of sequins in this project. If you add too many sequins, you will not get the cool shaker effect. Also, don’t worry how the back looks because we will be covering it up.

Step 3

Step 3: Cut out a phase from the Color Washed 12″ Paper Pad and another piece of scrapbooking paper that will fit your mini notebook. Then, using your favorite adhesive, glue down the phrase first, then add your final piece of scrapbooking paper.

When you have added your pieces of paper, poke through the holes at the top of your mini notebook.

Once your mini notebook cover has dried, reattach it to the rest of mini notebook and you are done!

Mini Shaker Notebooks Featuring Spieglemom Scraps 3

I love how each of these Mini Shaker Notebooks turned out! I think my favorite one would be the mini ”never give up” notebook.

Now, if you are loving the other two mini notebooks I made, you can easily make them as well! The only thing that is different about these two mini-notebooks is the SpiegelMom Scrap sequins. All the paper/motivational phrase came from the Color Washed 12″ Paper Pad and below is the specific sequins I used.

  • Mini ”life is what you make it” Notebook: SpiegelMom Scrap – Sprinkling Kindness
  • Mini ”never give up” Notebook: SpiegelMom Scrap – Peachy Keeny

Mini Shaker Notebooks Supply List: Color Washed 12″ Paper Pad, SpiegelMom Scraps – Sprinkling Kindness, SpiegelMom Scraps – Peachy Keeny, SpiegelMom Scraps -Because You Love Me
