I started by painting my embroidery hoop a deep green to match my theme. Once that was dry, I cut ‘Christmas Joy’ paper and acetate paper to fit the back of my hoop! I also took the ‘ornament’ packaging from the Christmas Flake Stickers and used it as an embellishment on here!
And here is Tinagale’s embroidery hoop that I scrap lifted!
As you can see above in the collection, one of the papers has Palm Trees on it — I fussy cut the palm trees from the paper and used it on my page to create part of my background 🙂 By fussy cutting the palm trees out from paper, I was able to have places throughout my page to tuck in my photo and other embellishments!
And even those these are the “Florida” papers, I easily used this collection for my photo that was taken in San Diego, California 🙂
Hi everyone! Julie with you here today sharing a little tip on how to OVERCOME your fear of using certain papers!
If you are like me, you look at ‘photo’ background papers and get a little intimidated! If you add your photos to it, you will lose part of that background, or if you add them to certain parts of the paper, then you feel you are limited to what you can add!
I started out with these papers from the The Great Outdoors – Camping Collection – and while I LOVED that photo themed paper on the right, how was I going to add my things to it, without losing the depth of the paper!??! Well — I CUT OUT what I wanted from the paper of course!
Once you have fussy cut the paper, you can easily assemble your photos UNDERNEATH the cut out parts and keeping the integrity of the design!
Once you have your photo(s) in place and the piece that you cutout placed just right – you can adhere it and then finish your page!
So next time you are intimidated by photo background paper, just give this a try!
It’s a beautiful fall Monday and our team is ready for another week of fun creating! Julie joining you today and I made a quick little travel album for an upcoming Fall day trip the family and I will take! Be sure to stick around to the end of the post to check out who the winner was from our Blog Hop last week! Now let’s dive into my Autumn Woods Travel Mini Album
I kept things simple focusing on pretty patterned papers and simple stickers. I can always add more after i add my pictures in.
I used a cut-apart page from the Autumn Woods collection so I had space to add journaling.
Using washi tape from the collection was an easy way to add a coordinating border and change up the look of the patterned paper. It’s just translucent enough that it shows some of the patterned paper from behind it which also adds a nice touch.
Thanks to everyone who came by to check out the blog hop last week. We had so much fun combining Tombow with our fall products! A huge congrats to the winner of our giveaway:

Adding Color to Acetate Papers
Hi everyone! Julie here with you today sharing what I created with some awesome Tombow Twintone dual-tip markers along with Paper House Productions ‘Wicked Good’ collection.
Since I was using a photo of my daughter’s Halloween costume from 2015, and it wasn’t your ‘typical’ Halloween colors, I grabbed the Paper House Productions acetate web paper from ‘Wicked Good,’ and then took four of the Tombow markers and colored in all the white areas of the acetate paper to match her costume!
And here is how it looks after I finished coloring the acetate paper with the Tombow markers!

Hi everyone! Julie here today with a project I made using the ‘Autumn Woods’ collection! I found these little glass jars at an antique store, and I knew I wanted to dress them up for Fall! Let’s take a look at my Autumn Woods Altered Jars.
Hi everyone! Julie here today sharing a layout I made using the gorgeous ‘Autumn Woods’ collection! Fall is my favorite season, which is pretty funny, since I live in Arizona, and it feels like ‘summer’ here for 6 months out of the year, so I do live for those cooler ‘Fall’ days we have here! Because it is my favorite season, I have always gravitated towards Fall themed scrapbook papers, and the ‘Autumn Woods’ collection is seriously my fave! The colors are gorgeous and I love the designs! Let’s take a look at my Autumn Woods Scrapbook Layout
These Stick on Pockets are some of my favorite embellishments ever! They are so fun to use and add some dimension to your photos, by drawing you right in! And by adding additional stickers on top of them, gives you more depth!
Hi everyone! Julie with you here today sharing a layout I made using the ‘Let Freedom Ring‘ collection along with stamps from My Sentiments Exactly. I really love this collection and the stamps I used worked perfectly with my page!
A few years ago, we visited the Ronald Reagan museum in Simi Valley, California.
In the museum, they have a real Air Force One airplane that you can walk through. It was pretty awesome walking through one!
I colored the butterfly stamps red and blue to match my papers and photo!
I used stamps from My Sentiments Exactly to decorate my page further, coloring in those pretty butterflies with patriotic colors.
Thanks for joining me today – be sure to check back tomorrow for one more project with stamps from My Sentiments Exactly!
Hi everyone! Julie with you here today to share an altered project I made using a Paper House Craft Set! These are so fun and easy to use!I started with this “B,” that I found at an antique store! I painted it and tused the Baby Girl Craft Set to add some fun!
And here is what I turned this “B” into! This is for a decor item for my daughter Brookie.
I added some 3D Stickers to decorate the letter a little more.
Adding her name to the spools was a great way to add some detail.
It all came together to make a beautiful addition for my daughter’s room.
These are so easy to apply and I really loved how this turned out (and so does my daughter!) It is self adhesive, and it I love how smoothly it went on my project!
