Wine Tasting

For the next two weeks we will be featuring Designer’s Favorites – We asked each design team member to showcase their favorite Paper House Productions products in a project. Lisa’s showcasing a new favorite – the Shaker Card Embellishments!

Hey there Scrappy Friends!

Do you ever get some scrapping goodies that you just can’t wait to use? Well, when I received my new box release box, I was giddy with excitement over the new Shaker Card embellishments! I fell in love!

Lisa here today to share a layout I created using a few of my favorite Paper House products. Back in 2010 my hubby and I packed up the kids and took a trip out to California. One of our day trips was a trip to Napa Valley. Until now, I hadn’t scrapped these photos. The new SnapShots Wine Country were perfect to scrap them!

Wine Tasting Layout Supplies:

I decided to use a grid on my layout so that I could include all of my favorite new goodies. I added a bit of red watercolor to mimic red wine to my background. I added  a few strips of green and red patterned papers from a few different paper pads on top and bottom of my page and stitched in place.

I glued the grape Shaker Card right on my background paper and added the “Veni Vidi Vino I came. I saw I wined.” to the right of the shaker card. I added the “Sweet” Sculpted Sticker to the top of the card.

These are 2 of the 3 photos I added to my layout. On the first one, I adhered it right on the background paper and added the “Wine tasting” SnapShot Sticker and then added the “Love” Sculpted Sticker above it. On the second photo, which I popped up with foam tape,  I added the “Cheers” SnapShot Sticker to the upper left corner.

For this part of my grid, I used the green frame and placed the wine glass/bottle overlay on top of it. These are both in the Wine Country Mixed Card Pack. This pack has so many frames and overlays to choose from! I added the “Savor” Sculpted Sticker and also the “Wine Country” SnapShot Sticker. I tucked in a bit of wine colored tangled thread under the 2nd photo.

Here is a closer look at the “Vino” Card. I also added another of the SnapShot Stickers to the lower right side along with some more tangled thread. I finished the layout off with some black mist spatters.

I used my Cameo to cut a sun burst and stitched with my sewing machine and yellow thread. I matted my photo with tissue paper and one of the Gatsby Trim Cards. I used the pennant piece and sun shaped diecut from the Gatsby Accent Pack and also cut a few pennants from the Gatsby Trimmings 12″ ColorWays paper. Batter Up!

Hey there Scrappy Friends!

Lisa  here today to share a sports layout I created. I take so many sports photos, have scrapped some and still have a ton left to scrap! So during baseball season this year, I had to stop myself from grabbing the camera to take to every game. Am I the only one like that? Or do you do it as well? I also decided to try and use a series of photos on my sports pages.

I used a series of 3 photos from my son batting during one game and came up with this fun page:

Batter up

Batter Up Layout Supplies:

Batter up close up 1

I used white cardstock for my background and added some watercolor to it. I also added some black mist spatters.

Batter up close up 2

I layered my photos side by side and added layers behind them with the fun sports themed papers. I also added some stitching. I fussy cut “Let’s Play Ball” from one of the Baseball Tags and popped it up using foam tape:

I used the “Batter Up!” sticker and popped that up with foam tape as well. The baseball under it is also from the sticker sheet as well as the baseball border:

So dig out those photos that you have a lot of and scrap a series of 3 on your page!

Picture Frame

Hey there Paper House Fans!

Lisa here with you today to share a project I created using ColorWays Flamingo Collection. This is one of my favorite ColorWays collection! I created this frame to give to my daughter before she heads off to college this fall.

When I saw that I had to create an off the page project this month, I was a bit nervous, as I don’t do a lot of these. I had purchased a basic frame at Michaels about a year ago and decided this was the time to use it!

Here is what I came up with:

Paper House Frame

Believe Photo Frame Supplies:

Paper House Frame close up 1

I started by painting my frame using white acrylic paint. Then I cut my papers so that they looked matted. Then I added some stitching.

Paper House Frame close up 3

I created my clusters using items from my stash and some of the Paper House awesome Puffy Stickers! I popped the “She believed she could, so she did” Cardstock sticker on foam tape to give some dimension and to add in front of the flowers.

Paper House Frame close up 2

I just love this believe Puffy Sticker! This is actually what inspired the theme of my frame.

I love how this frame turned out and will trying a few more off the page projects soon!

Hello there Paper House Fans!  Lisa with you today to share a layout I created using Paper House goodies.  We had Prom last month at school. This was my daughters last high school dance, kind of bittersweet for both of us!

I combined the Flamingo and Noir ColorWays Collections for this fun page:

Prom layout supplies:

I started my layout out by placing the Noir paper on the Flamingo Palm Tree paper. Then I cut 4 of the cards and placed them on my page. I adore the gold frame and just had to use it! That was actually how this layout came about.

Prom close up 2

Check out this “Today was the best day” card! More black and gold yumminess!

Prom close up 3

I added some tangled thread, more black and gold accents from the Noir Accent Pack and some gold mist spatters.

Prom close up 4

I cut a few of the strips of papers from the Edgings and Trimmings Papers and added those to the right side of my page, using a punch on one of them. I added some black stitching to make it pop. How about that pretty pink butterfly? That is a sticker that I adhered to cardstock and then glued only the center of it so that the wings popped off the page.

Prom close up 5

I used a few of the accent pieces and popped them up with foam tape to give my layout some dimension.

I love the contrast of the Flamingo collection against the Noir collection with the pops of gold! It’s so stunning and perfect for these photos!

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with us!

Hello Paper House fans!  I am back again to share a layout I created using a photo with one of my sisters and myself. I have 5 sisters and when I saw the Sisters 3 D Stickers, I knew I had to have them because I would get lots of chances to use them on my layouts. I also used a mixture of Paper House papers with them.

Sisters PH

Sisters Layout Supplies:

I love this cool background on this Emerald Woodwork paper, it is so pretty! I used a scalloped circle cut file and stitched it in place. I layered my photo on top of one of the tags:

Check out this fabulous 3 D sticker! So many details, I love it! I layered a leaf cut file under it to give even more dimension:
