Lake Wazee

Hey there Paper House fans!  Lisa back with you again today to share a summer layout using some of the new Paper House goodies!

Lake Wazee

Lake Wazee Supplies:

I started this layout with white cardstock and added some watercolors to it using the packaging technique and some spatters. Then I fussy cut the island, waves and water from the Beaches of the World Paper Pad placed at the bottom of my page and added some stitching.

I took the gorgeous “At The Beach” Shaker Box  and backed that with a sand patterned paper from the paper pad. I used the teal & silver frame and the “Sun & Sand” overlay from the Beach Mixed Card Pack and layered that together, finally adding my photo. I added the layered relax sticker and a few stickers from the Beach Snapshot Sticker Pack

I cut my title from one of the papers in the Beaches of the World Paper Pad and stitched in place. I added some of the Sculpted Stickers from the Relax Sculpted Sticker  I added a few pieces of chipboard and sequins from my stash.

Do you have a friend headed out on a vacation?  Here’s a beach card for you to send their way.  I love the dreamy mood created in the beautiful photo from the new Mixed Card Pack by Paper House, and decided to use it as my focal point, and inspiration.

To make this I sprayed my dry watercolors with water, scribbled on some water soluble oil pastels on my craft mat, and made little puddles of paint of the blues, greens, and purples that I planned on using. I misted about half the paper, and applied a small amount of paint.  I misted again, and tilted the page in different directions to let the paint run, then again to soften any hard edges. I used a heat gun to dry it, then put on more layers in different colors. I also used metallic watercolors and watercolor pencils.  I took small amounts of teal liquid pearls and brushed them on all the edges of the paper, flowers, and on random spots on the glitter.

You can see I flicked on paint all around. To create more texture I used glass glitter in clear and champagne, shells, bling, and sequins. The page got too busy, so I brushed on some white watercolor, and white acrylic paint. I rubbed on pearl mica power all over the card.

The little girl is from a greeting card I cut up, and the great egret is from a photo I took locally. The flowers are watercolors over dry gesso, followed by clear glass glitter and pearl mica powder.

Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!

Going Away Card

I have lots of young people in my life who are heading off to college soon so I thought I’d mess around with some of the newest Paper House Productions products and make a card for one of them!

The new Mixed Card Packs are full of a variety of textures and styles  in 4 X 4 squares that are perfect for all your paper crafting needs.  On this card I used a die cut piece (with the quote), along with a transparency, and a solid patterned card.  These combined to make a great base for the card.  I then just had to add a few more pieces to complete it!

Puffy stickers are always a great addition to cards as they add great dimension!  A new feature in the SnapShots Stickers is clear stickers that coordinate with the SnapShots.  I got my “Go” from that and used it as part of my quote.

Keep checking in with us over the next two weeks for more card inspiration combining our newest and older products!
