I added the 3d Shimmer Reindeer to the corner – it just looks so cute with its nose all lit up.
I also added the background paper under the wire and used the Puffy Stickers on the Mini Clothes Pins. I added some die cuts to the background to give it that winter wonderland look. It is a perfect display to hold those important things.
For the background, I inked a 12 inch by 12 inch piece of white cardstock with Ranger Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. With the Reindeer Double Sided Paper, I machine stitched it to the white card stock background. On top of the Reindeer Double Sided 12″ Scrapbook Paper, I added the Snowflake Acetate Paper and machine stitched around the edges instead of using adhesive because with acetate paper being transparent, I had to strategically adhere it without having the adhesive show. Stitching is the way to go.
I also fussy cut some snowflakes from the Snowflake Acetate Paper and added them over the acetate background to give more dimension. Sequins make everything sparkle more so I added some silver sequins with a dab of liquid adhesive to some of the centers of the snowflakes.
I love the Reindeer Puffy Stickers and thought I would add two of them to add more dimension to the layout. I also added some more stickers from the Merry & Bright Sculpted Stickers and created the “Merry & Bright” title . Finally I added the Santa 3D Shimmer. Santa lights up so it gives the frame a fun element.
To complete the frame, I added the layout to a black 12X12 scrapbook frame from Michael’s that I removed the glass from because the acetate is already shiny. It is difficult to photograph this frame as it has a glare, but I was happy how this turned out and I thought it would look great in the front foyer of my home.
I hope you enjoyed my Santa And Reindeer Frame.
This is my last post for 2016. I hope you all have a wonderful festive holiday season and a happy new year!
Hi everyone, Melissa here with a Christmas page. The papers, the amazing and fun Snow Globe 3D Shimmer, and stickers I’ve used meshed together wonderfully here. This is a photo of my son taken a long time ago, it brings back a lot of memories!
To make this page I put foam core board underneath the photo and the watercolor paper, to give some dimension. I placed the Snow Globe in the corner. I put cheesecloth on with some heavy gesso, dried it, and painted with different colors of mists. I rubbed gold mica powder on the surface.
I created extra texture with flowers, leaves, metal pieces, moss, feathers, and other things.
The sparkly fibers are twinkle holographic trim, and the gold mesh stuff is the wrapping from some flowers I got.
This was a really fun page to make! Thanks for looking, and have a great week.
What I have done here is use the Graveyard 3D Shimmer in front of the coffin box and the Ghost 3D Shimmer hanging off the side of the box. I also added some of the Halloween Diecut Pack as well as a few Scary Sculpted Stickers here and there.
Here I used the Raven Pattern Paper in the shadow box. I also cut the moon out of the All Hallows Moon pattern paper and added that to the right top corner . I popped up a diecut of a moon as a layer to the same corner. I also used a sticker bat and a diecut bat along with a diecut title.
There you have it a nice Halloween piece to add to your Halloween Home Decor!
Hi Paper House fans! I hope you’ve been enjoying all the Shimmers projects over the last couple weeks! Aren’t they a fun product!?! Today I have a quick and easy Countdown Chalkboard to share that uses some of the Christmas Shimmers!
I completely love this Rudolph! Not only does he light up but his nose blinks! It’s so fun!
And Santa lights up all over too! Check out this video to see a quick peek into how I put it together and how they light up! These two Shimmers are bigger but Paper House also has several that are smaller and banner style!
One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that I picked up the chalkboard for $3.00 in a big box store – any kind of chalkboard will do! I liked that this one had some white doodling on it already!
I hand cut my banner using The Raven and Bats Scrapbook Papers and backed them with black cardstock. I cut 2 of each color. I roughed up the edges a bit and then stitched around the edges with black thread. I took two black doilies and cut them in half placing half on the top of each banner. I then took a punch and punched a small piece for each banner. Finally I machine stitched using a zig zag stitch:
I added two eyelets to each banner to thread my twine through. I also added some ribbon on each end of the banners to hold them in place. The black ribbon is what I cut off of the 3D Lighted Shimmers. They come with the ribbon so you can hang them.
Check out this super duper cute ghost! This is one of the new Halloween 3D Lighted Shimmers. Isn’t he adorable?! I added the “Boo” sticker from the Scary Sculpted Stickers.
This “Spooktacular” sticker is from the 3D Stickers. I just love all the dimension they add to my banner!
Here is another 3D Lighted Shimmers. Check out the cool haunted mansion! I added the “Creepy” Sculpted Sticker. So fast and easy!
The “Halloween Hauntings” sticker is from the Cardstock Sticker Sheet. I just popped it up with foam tape to give some more dimension to this banner piece. The “owl” is from the 3D Sticker Sheet.
Here are some more close ups:
You can see see the dimension these fun embellies have.
The spiderwebs and spiders are from my stash.
I saved the best photos for last! These are the 3D Lighted Shimmers lit up:
All 3 windows light up at different times:
It’s kind of hard to see the light on the ghost, but if you look closely you can see it right above his nose:
I just love all the dimension these fun Halloween embellishments gave my banner and it was so fun and easy to create!
Thanks for stopping by and stay scrappy my friends!
Here’s a page featuring the new Snowflake 3D Shimmer, it lights up at the touch of a button! I have also used some gorgeous Christmas papers, and various stickers. The sweater stickers, red glittered paper, and adorable gingerbread men really made me smile, and made me think of all the wonderful Christmastimes I’ve had with family. The photo is of my son sledding on Long Island, New York, during a visit there. There’s not a lot of snow where I live now in Houston, so this was a pretty exciting day for everyone!
To make this layout I put a piece of foam core board underneath the photo with to give it some dimension. This also leaves space to tuck flowers and things into. I put the 3D Shimmer snowflake on, then the acetate snowflakes, Gingerbread, and Ugly Sweater Stickers.
To create more texture I applied gesso, gold lace, antique glass glitter, microbeads, a reindeer die cut, flowers, leaves, a chain, and charms. I rubbed on pearl mica powder on top of the gesso, and gold mica powder on the edges of almost everything.
I painted some areas with cobalt blue water color, and used aqua and bark colored watercolor pencil in others. I used a frost spray on a piece of memory glass, you can see it to the right of the photo.
Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!
